Very high quality, very comfortable, and very warm. For some reason, I had to size down one size for this. I wear a large in the short sleeve Assos base layers (current generation) but had to go down to a medium in this.

Used to wear Castelli base layers, now I only buy Assos base layers. This and their other base layers are very high quality, fit very well, and are very comfortable. I think it’s the best that’s out there.

I was deciding between this, Assos winter jacket, and Assos Ultraz jacket. I am extremely happy I ended up with this. It is very versatile - I rode 40 miles in it today and temps were between the high 30s and mid 40s and I was never cold (Assos winter base layer underneath). Wind was constant at 10-15 mph and I never felt it due to the awesome Infinium material. During a few efforts I heated up, but because of the inner vest, I was able to open the jacket half way to let some heat escape without getting cold. If you are considering this jacket and Assos’ offerings like I was, I’d say that thermally, this is between the Winter and the Ultraz. The Ultraz is really thick and insulated. Size wise, I am an XL in Castelli’s race fit jerseys and the XL in this fits me well. Initially, I did feel some tightness in the armpit area, but after I rode in it for a few minutes that feeling completely went away - almost as if I had to break it in a little. Finally, Castelli, I do have a few minor nitpicky suggestions if you read these reviews: I’d make the cuff a little tighter so it doesn’t bunch under gloves, use the two rear pocket concept on the back like the perfetto/Gabba line, and use the same style of zipper on the front pocket as you do for the internal vest so it lays flush with the jersey instead of dangling.

Anyway, if your considering buying this jacket for winter riding, just do it. You won’t be disappointed.

I rode with these gloves for the first time today and I love them. They are what I would consider to be minimalist long fingered gloves - they are thin, stretchy, keep the wind off of your hands, and have minimal padding. The touch screen tips work the best of any gloves I’ve owned. I rode in the 40s today and my hands never got a chill nor did they accumulate sweat inside the glove. I will be buying their winter and aero gloves now that I know how good Assos’ gloves are. I am normally a large in gloves and these were spot on.

I used this sock for the first time today and was very impressed. I’ve worn swiftwick exclusively until now and I’m glad I’ve added these to my rotation. They are 7 or 8 inches tall, provide ample compression, and are a little on the thin side. I wear a size 44.5 shoe, but despite the size chart, a large is perfect.

I absolutely love this jersey! Very lightweight and very breathable. I really like the low profile collar as well. I bought an XL and I am an XL in all other Castelli jerseys. I reach for this jersey before any other.

This is my first cycling base layer that isn't for winter. I was skeptical prior to ordering, but have become a true believer. I just did a Century ride where the temp started at 61 degrees and warmed up to 77. Not once was I cold OR overheated. I did a fair amount of climbing and would unzip my jersey half way for the ascent and then zip it back up for the descent. Absolutely perfect for this temperature range. For sizing, I wear an XL (5'10 185lbs) in Castelli Jerseys and an XL in this was perfect.

UPDATE: after six months of use (mostly on my indoor trainer with no jersey over top) the piece functions well but falls apart. This is now the case for all of my Castelli base layers. It’s a shame because I wear Castelli jerseys, jackets, perfetto, etc. and they are very high quality; this just isn’t. I’ll be sticking with Assos base layers from now on.

I have the S7 Cento which I thought were good, but they were too short and didn’t have enough compression. I bought these and they addressed both issues. Great compression, much longer down the thigh, and even though they don’t have the Kuku Penthouse, the new area in the front is extremely comfortable - better than the Kuku in my opinion. I’ll be buying many more pairs.
