Sheri K.wrote a review of Mountain Hardwear Stretchdown Down Jacket - Women's on October 13, 2018
Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
I am a healthy acthletic 5’7” and 115 lbs and can’t find clothes that aren’t too big anymore. I used to wear a size 5 in juniors and at the same weight I now wear a size 0. Clothes are getting bigger but I am not. I was frustrated so I called Backcountry.com and the salesman was so helpful. He knew which jacket would fit AND keep me warm. I read the reviews and appreciate the comments from the women who admit when “they are thick around the middle” or “have braid shoulders”. With that info I knew to get an XS. Someone’s height and weight is not enough info. The jacket fits perfect when I wear a t-shirt and a fitted wool top. It would be snug if I wore a thick sweater which is fashionable now. This jacket is really warm because it’s fitted so the cold air doesn’t seep up the jacket, and the stretch is nice so I can move even though the jacket is almost too long. This is the warmest down jacket I’ve ever warn.
