Shawn Craig's Bio

Love skiing, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking and pretty much any outdoor activity. Recently I have really gotten into running rivers and have also just started to get back into running following some knee surgeries.

The jersey itself is well made and has great features like the two zippered rear pockets. My issue was with fit. The body of the jersey was very tight while the arms were borderline loose. I definitely have found that I have broad shoulders and sometimes have issues with cycling jerseys. I don't think sizing up would do much here given the sleeves being borderline loose on me.

If it fits and you have a slim body, I'd recommend it.

I bought these as light weight ski touring gloves and for cold weather running. They work great for both. Provide light insulation for high output activities. The leather palm is nice and durable.

I got these for touring as we head into spring. They are very comfortable and have a nice soft brushed lining. They have great side vents. They are definitely a bit more on the fitted side.

They have built in boot gaiters and great ski edge protection on the inside of the pant.

They breathe well and fit the bill.

I really like this shirt. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. The shirt is definitely warm. The fit was maybe a little big but not overwhelmingly. I'll give a true to size but know it my run slightly large if your in between sizes.

As with most things Arc'Teryx this pack is well made. It is a bit heavy with the battery but the suspension helps as the pack rides really well and is comfortable to carry. I have the 30L and it allows for plenty of space to carry anything I would need. In comparison with a touring partners pack that is not an air bag the weight difference was pretty marginal.

I have tested the air bag several times. It's intuitive to use. It is quick and easy to inflate the bag and equally as quick and easy to deflate and repack the airbag.

So far, I'm very impressed with this pack.

I bought both the 130 mm and the 105 mm for a pair of Atomic Backland 109s. The 105 mm worked great. I'd say you can easily go to a 110 mm width with the 105 crampon without issues. Anything in the 111 - 113 range is probably going to be a bit tight. More than that, go with the 130.

These are great very thin wool ski socks. I have been frustrated so many times buying ultralight ski socks to find out they attempted "strategically placed padding". These are wonderful and comfortable.

Minus one star because they are R and L foot specific. It makes sorting laundry a pain.

I mainly bought these to dry ski boots. They do a great job of drying. Having put the boots on fresh off the dryer, there isn't exactly a warm fuzzy feeling. They serve the purpose that I purchased them for and your boots will definitely be dry within 2 - 3 hours.

These skins are work well and will save you a couple of bucks. They're basically a G3 skin. They do exactly what they are supposed to do and they're easy to cut and manage.

I've had these out for a couple of tours and they feel good. The last is nice and provides good room for my toes but I'm able to get a solid fit on the rest of my foot to provide performance.

My foot is high volume but not necessarily really wide. The 101 mm last seems to work great. I haven't had the liners molded yet and I'll likely require some small bits of work on them.

As has been reported the tongue movement is a bit awkward but all in all I should be able to live with it.

The boots are stiff for a dedicated touring boot and would likely be serviceable as an in-bounds boot when needed.

I ended up returning these. They're true to size in length and I would say run a bit on the narrow side. They look like solid boots just not for me.

My foot runs slightly on the wide side but nothing crazy. I usually don't have width issues in most footwear brands.

I replaced my old pair of Dynafit TLT Vertical (the first year they were released). So better performance on bindings should be expected at this point. These are great. I feel like there is a solid engagement and they ski well. I've used them both in bounds and touring and they have a very ensuring feel to them.

Only cumbersome issue is the need to remove skis to go from ski to tour mode and vice versa. You can get them into ski mode from tour mode without removing, but it's cumbersome and just seems easier to remove the ski.

Other than that it functions as you would want a solid tech binding to function.

I bought these to replace a pair of Soul 7s. I have these mounted as a touring ski with G3 Ion 12 bindings. So far, I'm very happy with them. They have a nice even medium flex. They hold an edge well but aren't too unruly that you can't release and slarve a bit when necessary. They're very damp and handle hard snow, crud and powder without issue. As far as a touring ski goes, the weight isn't ultralight but probably fall towards the light end of the spectrum.

I bought these for running in cold weather. They work great for me. I've run in them from the mid 20s to 40 degrees and they have kept me warm. They have a soft inner material and I've had no issues with the seams chafing. They are slightly compressive.
