The description for this jersey is deceiving, as it is the description for the regular fox racing demo jersey (even fox has this screwed up on their website). This is basically an all mesh jersey, with some fox’s Trudri fabric on the front upper and shoulders (look closely, the entire back and front bottom half of jersey are mesh). I bought this jersey because I loved the material so much on the fox ranger jerseys I picked up, but was disappointed that this basically just consists of a cheap mesh construction. Very disappointing from Fox. The fit is good for wearing over my pads and would probably provide good airflow, but without anything on underneath I bet you’d get sunburned. Don’t buy unless you’re looking for a mostly mesh jersey. I much prefer fox’s regular jerseys, this one is discontinued and I now know why.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I almost went with a cheaper chest/back/shoulder protector, but decided to spend the money on this. Upon opening the item, I understand why it’s expensive- its really nice and fits well, striking a great balance between being low profile and some serious protection. I like the tee shirt model because I wanted shoulder pads but wanted to pair my own elbow protection (for a variety of reasons-durability, removability without having to take off shirt, also the ability to choose elbow pads. For reference I’m 5”10.5 and 150 lbs, and the L/XL fits great, you should base your measurement off of height not weight, as the length of torso is mostly what the sizes refer to (may be too long or short otherwise) and the protector adjusts for different chest sizes. Also, this is a compression shirt so it is supposed to be tight and i feel like if you are a bigger guy, expect it to be tight because although I have to tighten the chest straps the L/XL is by no means a loose fit.

I will be using this for dh lift/shuttle laps (you could climb in it but it would be really hot and too much extra weight for me). My mobility is still great while wearing this but i can already tell that it could make a huge difference in the event of a bad crash. I have recently purchased a number of leatt products and have been pretty impressed with their quality overall, After some lengthy research I think I’ve found exactly what I was looking for and wanted to take the time to do a review and also thank my gearhead Brooklynn and the rest of The awesome folks at backcountry for helping me find what I need to Be able to rip it up and hopefully not rip myself up!!

Also, I would post pics of mine but just google image search (make sure to include “lite” as there is a regular model of this compression shirt) if you want to see what it looks like on an actual person. Also, my medium jersey that fits a bit looser on me regularly still fits right over this thing and you can tell I’m wearing pads it but I don’t look totally stupid. Also, where I ride is generally cooler even in the summer, but pretty much any body protection is going to be borderline miserable on a really hot day. But you know what else Is miserable? Broken bones and digging gravel out of wounds. Cheers ✌

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I wasn’t sure which full face I should get, so of course I asked the pros at backcountry. They recommended this one. It is SUPER light and super comfy, lots of vents. It feels plenty sturdy to me and I feel like unless you are an absolute downhill cliff jumping massive hit psycho it is plenty of protection, especially for the comfort and weight. I would say it pretty much feels true to size, I got a large like I always do and it’s perfect. When I was a kid I smashed my whole face mountain biking and ever since try to wear a full face where it’s realisticaly convenient. I wear it all day on resort days and at other times when other friends simply aren’t comfortable in their full face, so sometimes they are chancing it while I’m poretected. Most of the time I hardly notice I’ve got it on. I would recommend this if you can afford it, also did I mention the vents are amazing for hot days.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought this to replace my last snowboard bag. When I was shopping I thought maybe the 90L would be too big... it isn't, it's the perfect size to fit my boots helmet etc inside and doesn't take up a ton of space in the back of the car. Anything smaller would have been too small for me. It's a very high quality bag with very rigid sides and body construction. I'm considering buying another for my dad for Christmas. I am not sure how the north face and Patagonia, etc brands versions of bags like this are but I really like this one and it was cheaper than the others. I end up liking almost everything I purchase from Haglofs.
