Familiarity: I've used it several times

It's a large bag that holds a lot of stuff, but that's pretty much where it stops. I purchased this bag based on waterproof/resistant claims, and since have been wholly disappointed. I've just found out yesterday in spectacular fashion, that the black hole bag lacks any sort of water resistance.

Stuffed full of camping gear, clothing for a wedding, work laptop and documents, I tossed the bag in the back of my pickup. Rain was in the forecast but I wasn't worried in the slightest, as I'd purchased this bag in particular for peace of mind that my things would be kept safe and dry in the event of the unexpected. It began raining shortly into my drive, and I figured no big deal - this is why I bought the black hole bag.

After about an hour of driving in the rain, I arrived at my destination and began to unpack. To my dismay, most of my things which were contained by the black hole bag were much wetter than expected. This includes my work pc, which I now have the pleasure of replacing.

Perhaps I ended up with a lemon, but either way I'm not very happy. Thanks Patagonia.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These tires grip wonderfully, for a single day. The problem lies within the side-knobs, which tend to rip off after a few hours of use, equating to absolutely zero support when laid over in a turn, and zero grip. Since I cannot feasibly fork out $180 for new tires every single ride, the Dampfs are not an option for me.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been biking with this pack around Utah for ~2 years now, and it's still solid. I toss it around quite a bit, and have only observed some slight wear-and-tear around the zippers. Perfect for short excursions around the Wasatch , but falls just short for longer days in the desert - my next purchase will be the larger version (Raptor 10/14 etc).

Lightweight, powerful brake which has been more than enough for All-Mountain riding to laps in the park to full on DH. They do require a little more attention (even more so than the standard x0's), but have stood up to plenty of abuse and I have no complaints otherwise.
