Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I have ridden Giro helmets since their inception. After crashing back in June, I replaced my Atmos II with this helmet (had to wait until August to get it!). Overall it is a great helmet. Fits well, adjusts easily and is really light and airy. I really like it but only hold back one star because of sweat management. I would like to see Giro do a better sweatband - or build in a channel/groove. But I sweat a lot, so maybe that's more my problem.

I have two pairs of these bibs and for the money, they are great. I wear size L and the fit is good. The pad and compression are not quite as good as the PRO bibs but they are also $60 cheaper. Good everyday 1-3 hour training bibs.

I only wear PI and have for years so I can't really say these are better than X brand but I love these bibs. I have always worn a size L in PI apparel and these fit perfect. Good compression and though I have a slightly longer midsection, the straps fit fine for me.

Update - After wearing these in the rain one day, I noticed the front of the crotch area had faded - inside the bend between the legs and torso. I contacted PI and they replaced them. The second pair is doing the same thing - faded areas in the same places where the fabric rubs together in the crease. This does not affect the performance at all, but you would expect $190 shorts to hold their color.

I always wear PI size L but I like a tighter fit than you sometimes get with the Elite line. This is a tighter "pro" fit than some of the other Elite jerseys but it is perfect in my opinion. I have two and will probably buy another.

I had read nothing but good, no great, reviews on this helmet and decided to get one while they were on sale. I have always had Giro helmets and was expecting good things. However, there is one flaw in this helmet that I am surprised I have not heard about. In the middle of the forehead, there is a gap without a sweat pad (the pad is two pieces - a right and a left). Because of this, sweat just pours right down the middle of my head and down my nose. I had to go to a Halo headband which is OK but it only moves the problem to later in the ride. Other than that, great helmet. I will be moving to one of the new MIPS helmets later this year.

The product description "fits" it well. It is lightweight, form fitting and packs well in your jersey pocket if needed. I am a size large across all Pearl Izumi products but prefer the pro/form fit. I can get an undershirt, jersey and arm warmers under it with no problems. I have worn it in light rain and it repelled well enough. The only thing I would change is the back pocket. The opening is somewhat narrow. I do not ding it a star for this because I do not really use the pocket.
