Sarah Savala's Bio

Hey friends!
My name is Sarah. I was born and raised in the small Cali beach town of Ventura but always had a deep love for the mountains that I could not deny. That love moved me to Mammoth Lakes, California where I enjoyed all my outdoor passions in the Eastern Sierra. Recently I moved to Salt Lake City to experience this great outdoor industry hub. It definitely has not disappointed! My passions are all things outdoors but more specifically I love Snowboarding, Climbing, Mountain Biking, Fly Fishing, Hiking and Snowshoeing with my dog Bodie, and traveling to destinations that support these passions.
The lifestyle brands Free People, Teeki and Prana best represent my style and I would love to recommend my favorite items.
Feel free to hit me up at any time so I can help you make the best of your next adventure.

I keep this chair in the back of my car and am constantly using it. Concerts, tailgating, camping, you name it and I am there! You can even take it backpacking with you as it is only 1lb 14oz and packs down very small.

This is the perfect shelter for so many activities. Imagine setting it up at the beach to shade your food, phones and occasionally yourself from the sun or setting it up at your campsite as a shelter from wind and rain. You might as well look cool while you are shielding yourself from the elements and there is nothing cooler out there than the Burton X Big Agnes set up.

I love this pad! I own a different Big Agnes pad but wanted to give this one a try since it is insulated. It knocked my socks off! It was so comfortable and the inflation/deflation was extremely easy. I would highly recommend this for anyone that is a cold sleeper (especially us women!) and wants more warmth when sleeping under the stars.

Car Camping Dream!

We brought the Big House along with us on our two week road trip and it was the best decision. Set up and take down was simple. It was just two of us and our dog and it had the perfect amount of space with our bags. I would recommend this for car camping, festivals or even on a short hike.

Reach out with any questions!

I call this "The Love Bag" for two reasons:

1)I absolutely love what Big Agnes stands for as a company. Hailing from Steamboat Springs, CO, they have the mountains right outside their door to inspire their products as well as motivate them to protect the outdoors.

2)Big Agnes makes the most comfortable sleeping bags on the market. This bag is super soft and comfortable and has zippers on both sides which allows you to snuggle with your partner all night long at the perfect temperature. Before you know it you will have The Lion Kings "Can you feel the love tonight" playing in your head as you drift in to la la land.

So take this bag on your next car camping adventure and experience all that The LOVE BAG has to offer.

Fit: True to size

From my friend:

Some of the best base layer pants I’ve ever had. Currently own two pairs. Work, ski, hike, loves these things. Took a three day snow shoe trip in the Sierras with snow and rain and was surprised these stayed somewhat dry under wet cargo pants. I am 6’3” 180lbs and the mediums fit well. Highly recommended.

From my friend: These boots are great. They fit well and with 4 buckles and a strap you can get them tight. Walking feature is nice for backcountry trips. Plastic is softer on the flex point than the old T1 Bumble Bees and wears out a lot faster from the skis edge. Over all nice boots.

From my friend: This bag is light weight and with a compression sack, packs down to the size of a large Nalgene.
It is a good bag for summer but 20 degrees is a stretch. Maybe 40 degrees for comfort even with a pad. Excellent quality. I am 6’3” and the long fits well. Recommend this bag for warmer summer temperature.

This is what my customer Nick L. has to say about these:

The shoes are great, they fit as expected and are a noticeable upgrade to the previous pair of Freeriders I had. They're a bit slimmer, lighter, and better looking (style is important to me as a MTBer, and these look sweet) - lace length is perfect and rests on the stitching across the tongue of the shoe, and it really is the sweet spot in the sense that I didn't have to retie them to make it feel more comfortable as I often have to do with other pairs of shoes. They're very rigid, making my feet feel safe in the case of any wrecks, yet flexible as soon as you're on the bike and as expected, give the confidence I expect from a performance mountain biking shoe. Walking around in them is not they're intended use, but they're more than comfortable in that regard as well.

Overall, an excellent shoe that any MTB'r would appreciate. I hope to enjoy them for many seasons to come.

Here is what my friend said:

What’s not to love about the POC helmet? When I needed a new helmet I knew the only way for me to go was POC. POC helmets are comfortable, not bulky and very stylish. In the POC mountain bike helmet I wear a small so I went with the xs/sm and it fits great.

Fit: Runs large

Here is what my friend had to say:
I like that these boots are not as heavy as the Joan of Artic boots. They have a similar look but are much more sleek and light weight. I bought these for my winter travels through ski resorts while touring around. Since they are lighter than the Joan of Artic they don’t weigh down my luggage or my feet. My one complaint is that they could have been a bit more insulated without adding much bulk. While my feet did stay dry they also got a bit cold.

As for sizing, I wear a size 7 ½ usually and actually had to downsize to a 7 even with my winter ski socks.

Attention ALL Campers

This tent will rock your world, whether that would be 5 feet from your car or 17 miles out in the wilderness.
Weighing in at 5lbs 9oz's, this tent was not too heavy for my smaller frame to carry in a pack for 32 miles in 2.5 days.
The Catalyst kept me warm and dry during an unexpected wind and snow storm on a late summer trip in the Wind River Range. I was even able to make a hot meal on my Jetboil mini mo in the vestibule with howling winds and snow around me. The 3 person tent was perfect for 2 people and an extra snuggly pitbull along with a few dry bags (I kept the packs tucked away in the vestibule). Make this tent the CATALYST to your next epic adventure!

Reach out to me directly with any questions!
