Great for abalakov systems (I think the name is V-thread anchor?) in the glacier. It goes in smooth and easy and you can recover it really fast, which is perfect when hanging off an ice wall. Sturdy construction and sharpened as hell. Worth it every penny. Have not tried other brands but I don't think I need to. Will definitely get a couple more BD screws in different sizes

Very light tent, roomy for 2 people, too small for 3 unless you like sleeping on top of your fellow camping buddies. Have tried it in windy and rainy environments in the Andes and it always stood up to these conditions. Would like to try it in more severe weathers to share a more accurate review. Will updated soon

I have used it a couple of times now. I cut mine by half so now I have 2 mid-size pads. I used only for the upper half of my body and every time under my therm-a-rest NeoAir inflatable pad. It's the perfect combination for those cold nights in the trail. It's great for putting together your tent and sleeping bags without kneeling on those rocks under your tent.

Nice insulated jacket for all-purpose. cold day in the office or summiting a nearby mountain over the weekends, I always choose this jacket. It's extremely light considering how warm you feel in this. Best choice for layering up in cold days without bulking. I love the fact it collapses into an internal pocket.

This is my new personal favorite and bag to go when leaving town for those long weekends in the country. It's so convenient with all the extra pockets and loops. I only wish it had included the rain cover, which I got for free on a promo anyway. Also, I found it a little heavy when empty but it made no difference once it was fully loaded. Other than that, I do recommend!

This is agreat jacket for several reasons:
- ultra light
- awesome color (Rohdei green)
- good sizing (nor perfect)
- great material
Now, I wish you could collapse it into the chest pocket, instead you have a little bag attached that can be easily lost if you are not careful. I totally trust this jacket, at 40 miles winds and frozen rain it was a bomber.
It fits a little big when using it without any layers but it's perfect on top of my fleece and my down jackets.

I've used them a couple times in the ecuadorian Andes and they are just great, however I think they will be not enough for alpine climbing when things get too technical. I bought them for a very good price so no complaints whatsoever.
UPDATE: i've been to some technical climbings and they worked perfect.
