Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this sleeping back about 6 weeks ago and have used it pretty extensively. I love the rectangular design and love the materials it is made out of. It keeps me warm in the mid to low 40's. I used it one night while hammock camping with a 15 degree underquilt and stayed warm at 42 degrees with no chilly spots. I also used it on a weekend with temps ranging from 44-48 degrees with a 3.3 R value mat (rated to 15 degrees) and was toasty and warm with no worries. I would push the rating on this bag even two or three degrees below 40F with the right clothing and camp mat/underquilt because it is just so warm and reliable.

I've been using this mat for two seasons now. I've used it in both summer and Winter conditions. I like the 5.8 R-value rating which keeps me warm in colder temps throughout the late Fall, Winter and early Spring. This mat holds its air very well and doesn't lose much air when temps dip down real low. It boasts that it is self-inflating, and like most self-inflating mats I've tried, doesn't really inflate well on its own. You do still need to mouth blow about 8-10 breaths for maximal loft. I have used this mat in the backcountry as well; I strapped it to the back of my pack and it worked well but was a bit cumbersome and heavy for backpacking. This is my go to mat for weekend car camping trips and where there is an extended stay on a single site. The quality is very good and the mat has really held up through over 60+ nights of use in the past two years. I recommend this mat!

I use the Sea to Summit 20L kitchen sink as part of my dish wash system while car camping. It works great. I'm on my 3rd season with it and it's still going strong. Holds water well and doesn't spill or leak. I recommend it highly. It easily fits dishes for a couple and I've used to it wash dishes for up to four people easily with no problems.

I purchased the Black Diamond Iota headlamp earlier this season. I've been extremely happy with its performance. I like that it features the USB charge option seeing as I always have a portable batter pack to charge my phone and GPS. It's nice not to have to carry extra batteries. It is very bright and stays secure on my head with a variety of headwear. Very comfortable to wear. The headlamp operates for a long time on a single charge (4hrs on max power) and I've never run out of juice during my travels.

I purchased the MSR reactor earlier this season and it has been amazing! I’ve used it extensively in the backcountry, on canoe trips and at car camping without any problems. I’ve even used it in the mountains during high wind and heavy rain situations. The burner works really fast to boil water for me to rehydrate our meals. It is also well constructed and will take some abuse. I highly recommend this product!!!

I recently purchased this Marmot tent and have really enjoyed it. The seam taping is excellent quality and the stitching around the grommets and anchor points is really solid. This tent has got me through a couple of serious storms with no damage or leaking. I had considered seam sealing it but it's construction is so well made that I've found this isn't necessary. The tent fits easily into the stuff sack when packing up which is nice not to have to fight with the bag when setting up. The tent is roomy on the inside and there is some space near the bottom to store electronics or other items indoors. I've used this tent with a hiking partner and the vestibules were able to store our packs (a 65L and a 75L) with no issues. I highly recommend this tent.

I've been using the MSR Pocket Rocket for most backpacking trips. It boils water quickly and efficiently and is reliable, even in bad weather/cold conditions. I like to use the MSR mugmate in conjuction with this stove because I like a hot cup of coffee in the morning. Check out my video on the stove in action to boil water and make coffee.

I purchased the coffee press attachment earlier this season and am very impressed. This is my preferred method of making coffee whether I am base camping, car camping or backpacking due to its portability and ability to make coffee for the entire group. I really love that the coffee press attachment can be stored inside the put with the stove and fuel. I use the 1.7L system and would highly recommend this for couples and for groups up to four people.

I bought this stove earlier this season and couldn't be happier with it's performance. It boils water quickly, efficiently and reliably. I've used it in high wind settings, rainy conditions and on extended trips with great success. I like that all the attachments fold into to each other. I also purchased the coffee press and this was a good investment. It makes reliable coffee that tastes great. Check out my video for a close up look at the MSR Reactor and the coffee press attachment.

I bought this little mugmate to go for backpacking trips. I really like that its reusable and easy to clean. No more dragging paper filters. I use a camelback insulated mug and the mugmate fits perfectly on the top. Check out my video on camp coffee to see this item in action.

I bought the Nemo Tensor 25 last year. I've used it on a number of camping trips and backpacking trips. The valve system is reliable and this mat kept me warm in winter conditions down to 16 degrees. It packs up easily into its stuff sack and is lightweight. Fits easily into my 65L pack. It can be inflated in about 2 minutes. Great backpacking camp mat!

I bought the MSR Pocket Rocket 2 about two years ago. I really like how compact this stove is. I've used it in alpine conditions, windy conditions, wet/stormy conditions and in temps way below freezing with great success. It boils water really fast, 1 cup in about 45 seconds and 1 liter in 3.5minutes. The stove is fuel efficient, lightweight and easy to use! It fits perfect into my pack! I would not go backpacking without this stove!
