I'm upgrading my gear and looking for a pack in the 2 1/2lb range for 2-3 day trips. I'm on the fence between the Deuter Spectro38 and the Osprey Talon44. Any input or other ideas? Also the Deuter is listed at 2lbs 9oz but the Deuter website says 2lbs 13oz?. 4oz will get you a pretty good Tequila buzz!Any thoughts?

I'm in the process of upgrading my gear and loooking to save some weight. I'm on the fence betwen the Osprey Talon 44 and the Deuter Spectro38. Does anyone have experience with both these packs? Comfort and packability are important. They are both the same price and close in weight, although the Deuter website lists the Spectro38 at 2lbs13oz, not 2lbs9oz. Any other packs that come in around 2 1/2 lbs that might be an option? Thanke for your input.

Recently received my Evergreen Parka, can't wait to head to the mountains to put it to use, as it's a little much for Florida. Quality construction, lots of features. Feels a little heavy, but I hope that translates to durability. Not sold on the liner, will probably use my fleece instead. Great service from Backcountry. Excellant descriptions, fast shipping. Will order more gear in the future. Let you know when I get back from spending the next 5 months in Glacier how the jacket worked out.
