I've loved my Osprey Tempest that I purchased a while back, so I was happy to find out the VIVA functions just as well for a larger pack as was going on a fall backpacking excursion and needed a little more room for warmer clothes than my 40L could comfortable accommodate.
Waist belt pockets fit my phone, which I used to take all my pictures on the trip, definitely the easiest access point while wearing.
Plenty of room for all of my clothes/food, and I was even able to separate a bag of wine on top of wear the pack clasps together and the drawstring tied it down so it didn't leak or slosh around. would be useful for easy access of a light jacket.
The pouch on top of the pack was large enough to hold my first aid kit, ALL of my food and snacks for 3 days, my OR transition jacket, AND an extra pair of socks for easy access. I had plenty of room for everything on my 3.5 day trip.
This adjustable back panel can fit up to a size M, without compromising the waist size for slimmer hikers with long torso's. I thought the pack was sitting a little high, wiht one flip of the Velcro I had it lengthened to a perfect fit on my hips where I like the pack.
Airspace back panel provides great breath-a-bility, especially paired with the Outdoor Research Transition jacket.
can't think of one at the moment! It was perfect for my trip.
Maybe some might think it was slightly heavy for our ultra light backpackers, I didn't find it to be a problem.
