Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

These boots are pretty sweet. I bought them prior to the start of a season with the Forest Service, and so far, they've met some brutal challenges. I've probably put ~100+ miles on them so far. Not a ton, but those have been some tough miles. Lots of labor throughout, and lots of non-hiking related abuse on the boots.

Comfortability wise, I love these boots. Great support. I love the lace system with those little rollers. I've never had a boot with a more snug fit, equally distributed across all of the lace loops.

The waterproofing on these boots is also unreal. I've buried these babies in mud and water and haven't felt a drop. Sure, gaters have helped on some of the most wet days, but the boots have done great with or without.

My one complaint... One reservation... The sole is coming away at the toe the slightest little bit. In fact, I noticed a tiny gap forming after just two weeks of wear. I filled the gap with superglue and continued on. Now, though, after ~1.5 months of continued daily use, the little gap is returning. Sole adhesion issues are pretty dang damning for a boot.. Hoping that a bit more TLC will hold them together. Considering contacting Asolo, though, just to make them aware of the issue and seek out a bit of advice.

Overall, sweet boot! Just watch out for premature sole gaps!

I've fallen in love with these gloves. I used my first pair primarily as a heavier backpacking glove for early mornings at high elevation (CO 14ers, mostly). The glove kept my hands plenty warm and held up great even after countless scrambles on pretty jagged scree.

After my first summer with these gloves, winter rolled around as it always does... I found myself out a pair of ski gloves and grabbed these in the early season as a substitute. I didn't plan on using them long; just until I snagged something heavier and more activity-suited... I used these the entire season. Amazingly, even on CO's coldest days my hands were never cold. Maybe I have unnaturally good hand circulation, or maybe these gloves just rock. Anyway, even after countless uses throughout the previous summer and countless days on the slopes, the gloves were still ready for many more adventures.

I still have that original pair, but purchased a fresh pair in the Spring in preparation for a season working with the Forest Service. I've put my newest pair through a lot. They may be permanently stained with tree sap and bar oil, but they're holding up just as well as ever.

Couldn't recommend these gloves more. I've found that even with the insulation they're a fantastic year-round go-to for a range of activities.
