Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Fits so much better than every other kids harness, especially for really little kids. Got the XXS for our two-and a half-year-old daughter two years ago. The ergonomics are excellent, and it could fit her tiny body without a lot of excess straps or loose spots (unlike the Petzl Simba!). The only issue is that the leg loops are not adjustable. Now that she is 4 and a half, the overall harness still fits her well, but her chunky legs have grown too large for the harness. We are sizing up to the next size (XS), but I think the overall geometry of it might be too large. Just two inches of leg strap adjustability would make a huge difference for both sizes.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 150 lbs
Size Purchased: 7.5

Got these just before a two-week climbing trip in El Potrero Chico. They broke in well after four days (some rubbing at the heels before that). These things withstood super sharp rock, cacti, long scree approaches, and handled well on wet, slippery rock, too. I climbed a few easy pitches in them and was surprised that they handled almost as well as my Miuras on large holds. Most importantly, they quickly became super comfortable. The tongue did slide a bit with the original lacing, but when I ran two Xs of the laces through the tongue stabilizer (which seems to be the intended design), the tongue stayed put. I usually wear a size 8 US, but ended up with 7.5 in these for a snug but roomy fit. I have fairly wide feet, so I think I often end up with 8s because of width. But since Scarpas tend to be wide, the 7.5 is perfect.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

A couple notes worthy of report:
-The size 1 fits my (tiny) 9-year-old daughter, and her long hair works fine.
-The size 2 fits my (potato head) 11-year-old son.
-I bought one for myself, a size 2, but didn't feel like it fit. I would expand the head strap as far as it went, and it just felt like the whole thing sat on my head like a fedora. I'm new to climbing helmets, but wear a bike helmet almost every day. Compared to my Bell bike helmet, it felt skimpy and ill-fitting. So I sent it back. After that, I tried on some other full coverage helmets and found they fit better, ones where the foam itself wraps around the base of the skull. But I didn't buy them b/c they weren't on sale, and even if they were, I had spent too much on the kids'!
-Then I had to climb at several areas where I just had to have a helmet, so took my son's along. What I gradually learned was that the head strap functions independently from the shell, and so you have to manually pull it down in the back to cradle the base of your skull. When you do that, it feels comfortable like my bike helmet. I recently wore it for about 6 hours a day for a long weekend of trad climbing and by the end, I forgot it was on. So I might buy this again if I need my own.
