Comfy, burly, do all trad harness
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This rig takes the best features of a number of BD harnesses and combines them into one super comfortable, burly and featured trad harness.

Comfortable - Short of a wall harness this is the most comfortable harness in the BD line.
Gear Loops - This harness has more than enough storage capacity. The front loops are 25% bigger than the standard BD gear loops (same size front loops as a Chaos Harness) and it has the accessory gear loop on the back.
Burly - the fabric on exterior of the harness is by far the burliest fabric I've ever used on a BD harness. I've ruined plenty of harnesses in the desert and this one is 2 desert seasons in and still going strong.

The webbing running from the lower tie in point to the leg loops isn't stacked like the Solution which helps prevent the wear point that the Chaos & Solution harnesses had if you like to stick your leg in a nice #5 or #6 crack.

So go stuff your self in that OW/Chimney, bring that extra cam and enjoy your day in comfort.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: Runs large
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 130 lbs
Size Purchased: Size

I bought this as a gift for my mom, she loves it:
She typically wears a medium, but found the small to be the correct size.

"I bought the Patagonia dark currant ski pants (which I love) and decided that I wanted a new mid layer top to go with them. I was looking for something “fun” and when I saw this top, it was just what I was looking for. I received it as an early Mother’s Day/birthday present, just in time to wear it on our last ski trip of the season. I love it. It is so soft and warm, and the pattern is “fun” and unique. A ski patrolman told me that he really liked my fleece. Pretty cool, huh? I saw a woman who had a similar Patagonia fleece (different pattern and colors) and she said it is all she ever wears. It’s perfect for wearing with jeans too. I expect to get a lot of use out of it."

This jacket is just plain comfy. The cotton/poly blend and terry cloth construction exceeded my expectations for how comfy this jacket is. The light weight makes it a great transitional season or inside the house jacket.

I'm tend to fall between sizes. large here fits well in the shoulders, but the sleeves are a tad long. I have a feel if I wash it and let the dryer have its way it'll shrink a little and be perfect.

The zone are great for high output actives where moving heat out is key to staying comfortable. The quarter zip combined with the zone venting in the fabric make this my favorite layer to ski tour in.

I've always found the Zone / old GT layers to fit me best. I've used the old GT layers the last 4-5 seasons of skiing and can't be happier. I wanted a 1/4 zip and have been stoked so far on the Zone 200.

I wasn't sure about the sizing for these ski pants based on sizing guidelines - my waist was too big or my hips were too small compared to the sizing guidelines. I'm 5'5" and 115# and the XS fit perfectly. They are super comfy, very water proof and toasty warm. I'd highly recommend them!

I went from a really old pair of Ascension Nylon's to the Glidelite Mix and couldn't be happier. I was concerned about losing traction on the up, but have been plesantly surprised by how good of grip these provide. What really blew my mind was when I was able to fold them up and tuck them in my jacket. I never used to understand how friends could do this and I love the time savings this provides.

The BD skin cutter works, but consider shelling out another few bucks for a G3 skin cutter and you'll forget about how cutting skins is a pain.

While trying out XC skiing one snowy day, a friend let me borrow this vest.
After a few laps I quickly realized this was going to be my new favorite piece of ski touring gear.

When you generate lots of heat and need wind protection look no further. The wind blocker in the chest/shoulders gives you protection just where its needed, but still lets you dump maximum heat on the way up. It's kinda like a mullet, business up front with the wind pro and a party out back with the mesh venting letting all the heat out. Combine this vest with a zip-neck baselayer for ultimate comfort.

This is a snug Medium, but is appropriate for the designed use. Go up one size if you want a looser fit.

I bought these for my mom for Christmas. She is arthritic so comfort trumps all for her. She absolutely loves how comfortable these. Combine that with the timeless styling and its a full win in her book.

As mentioned elsewhere these tend to run big so plan to size down a half to full size.

Versatile, light weight and pack able. The BD Liquid Point Jacket is a great value for a technical GoreTex jacket. This is a go to for everything from keeping dry in the rain hiking, a light weight shell shell for touring/climbing and works well around town too.

It doesn't have a chest pocket, but these are an optional item for me and the hand pockets work for storage. Pit zips are mandatory for me so this was a key deciding factor.

When your old DWR wears off and you're tired of having wet pants/jackets this is the ticket to being dry again. Revitalize your DWR and watch wet snow or rain bead off your pants/jackets.

The big bottle is great for when you realize half your closet needs some love.

These do it all slab, crack, OW, face climbing. From the sandstone desert to polished granite the TC Pro's will take you to the top. They're pretty darn stiff out of the gate so they take some getting used to if you're coming from a soft shoe, but they break in nicely. Size down for performance or up for all day comfort, your call.

Sometimes you just don't want to look like you came out of the mountains. I already have a couple of puffies in the closet and wanted something more stylish for around town.

This jacket fits the bill perfectly. It keeps me warm and looks great around town. This thing gets a lot of look around town and stands out in the crowd thanks to the waxed canvas look. I love it!

I have broad shoulders from climbing so I went up to large to have enough room in the shoulders. A medium would have been a bit snug in the shoulders, but fit great in the torso (nice and somewhat trim).

How do you make one of the greatest lines of cams on the market even better? Shave weight, make the big cams less floppl and, make a few smart design tweaks.

I was fortunate enough to climb on theses down in the Creek this fall. The new #4-#6 were especially noticeable so my review focuses on these sizes. The weight savings on these sizes are noticeable and incredible! The new #6 is an especially nice addition as the head width is a almost an inch wider. This makes this big cam significantly more stable than the old #6.

The trigger keepers are nice and work well when racked with a normal rack, but do occasionally come undo when only racking big cams.

If you're looking to buy some big cams definitely go for the new C #4-6. You won't be disappointed.

I've been buying these for 10+ years. I have been using these for everything over the last decade: backpacking, climbing, traveling and around town.

They dry quick, resist odor and are some of the most durable performance underwear I've used.

The wide zip top makes it easy to fill, dry and clean out. Easier than any other brand. The snap attachment for the hose is a great feature. It makes it super easy to replace any part that may wear our over years of use (hose/bite valve).

4 stars since you actually have to pay attention to closing the zip component. As mentioned below, do a quick inversion test to check you sealed it correctly.

The cotton-poly blend of the Volcom Stone Storm Bonded Zip Hoodie is as comfortable as they comes. The heathered fabric is a nice mix up on what feels like a classic cotton hoodie. The pockets are nice and deep so when its cold out your hands bury nice and deep.

One call out that I couldn't tell from the photo, but isn't a big deal for me. This jacket does have a decent length drop hem so the back is longer than front and it lands about mid-butt for me.
