Just a quick note on the material
Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
This is a serious skiing/backcountry technical shell which is super lightweight and appears to be wind/water/snow proof. Great. I generally wear a small in my normal clothing and I ordered the small and it fit exactly how I wanted it too.
It's made out of GoreTex Pro - which sounds like GoreTex only better, but the Pro is more of a raincoat like material - it moves and sounds like it. Yes, it is much more breathable than an actual raincoat, but it's an encreadably thin material which can only be worn with other jackets and layers. This jacket has no "standalone" ability in terms of getting cold temperature out unlike standard GoreTex. I know that the sort of people who would buy this jacket have tons of layers and are probably prioritizing the light weight over these other factors, but I found it important to note.
Awesome jacket, but if you ski at a resort and only at a resort, I would point you towards something a little less high end.
