5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 150 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

Bought these during the TdF sale. Totally worth it. Followed the size chart on CC which meant I went up one size (usually wear a M in USA shirts, went up to a L here). Very form fitting and flattering. I'm not "cut", but not obese either, could stand to shave off a few pounds in the midsection. These are flattering, I don't look or feel like an overstuffed sausage like I feared. Once I get about 1.5" off my waist as I'm aiming to do...I should look really great in these.

I'm choosing "Runs Small" because a L here is a M in the U.S., but if you use the size chart, it runs true to that.

5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 150 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

This is my first "serious cycling shorts" purchase. I tried a couple of the cheap Amazon brands...they were okay but cheaply made. When CC started their TdF sale, I took a chance and bought one...I immediately bought six more. There is a huge difference between the Optimum shorts and the Amazon cheap brands from Asia. Suddenly I'm riding in comfort for two hours, versus stopping at around 45 minutes due to soreness/numbness. A racing saddle I had thought was rough on my backside suddenly was comfortable.

I don't know if I'll ever splurge for the $100+ shorts, but I'm very happy with these, especially at the sub-$40 sale price.

I followed the sizing chart here on CC and it fit perfectly.
