Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These gloves were not cheap and I regret the purchase greatly. I think Donny's just got super good circulation or something. The wind on the chair lift cuts through these gloves like a freaking katana. I'm not kidding these gloves are BAD in the wind... even just going down the slopes at an average speed on a 15 minute run in 15 degree (F) weather will chill you to the bone. I really want new gloves but I blew my glove budget on these failures so now I have to wait for another good deal to come around... well, better luck next time I guess. Note that these gloves will conversely burn your hands off in 40 degree (F) spring ski weather.

This lens is great for low light/flat light conditions and night ski. Its a very clear lens. My issue is that after using it in truly cold weather (-14F) just one time, the middle space froze (space between the two lenses). This should never happen as the reason for a dual lens is to prevent icing in extreme cold... This was completely blinding and I had to warm the lens up in the lodge just to get down the slopes safely. Thankfully I bought this lens as a spare, so I was able to just switch back to my original (sonar red) lens.

I love this shell as it is VERY wind and water resistant. On a warm day I snowboard with just this and a T-shirt. When its cold I pair it with a down jacket. I highly recommend this item and I think the only improvement to be made would be adding mesh to the vents. I like ventilation but I'd prefer some sort of barrier against snow if I were to fall and have some come through. It is certainly worth the money given the fact all Patagonia products have a lifetime warranty.

This tent is incredible and you really can't go wrong with it. I took it up to Isle Royale National park twice now and one night in May we recieved a solid 4 inches of heavy wet snow. The tent held up very well. Something I also greatly enjoyed was that on that same snowy night, we were able to cook our food under the awning. This did two things... it kept our bellies full and circulated the excess heat between the tent and wind-shell helping to melt snow off of the outside and warm the tent. I highly recommend!

Great Goggles, no bonus lens though

Mislead by the purchase text and never received my bonus lens which I wanted very badly as it was for flat-light/night-ski etc. I was upgrading goggles and this was a very good choice to me, so long as I could swap out a night ski lens for a sunny-day lens as necessary. Needless to say, I have been stuck with the day lens for all types of lighting. The lens that I do have is very nice and works very well during the daylight sun and never freezes on the inside in cold temperatures (up to -10 F so far). On this basis I recommend them.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Starting to wish I could get my $130 back, as these gloves have been unable to keep my hands warm despite some very good sounding reviews (My basis for purchasing after significant research. I snowboarded in -4 degrees F this past weekend and I was very frustrated with these gloves. For the amount of money paid I should be able to take these out in -15 to -20. I am an excellent snowboarder and I cannot continue to be handicapped by these gloves. I am disappointed with how easily wind can cut into them along with the ambient cold. My next issue... they also do not have any functionality. In addition to actually being warm... I'd like to see a small pouch-pocket on top to store RFID ski passes etc. Or I would like to see a squeegee on the thumb or index finger so that it can more easily assist me in the event that my googles Ice on the outside. Not happy that my search for high-quality lifetime gloves has resumed!
