Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've owned three pairs of these, and have always found that they were the perfect combination of well placed padding, good bar feel, and protection. Unfortunately, after the last pair blew out a seam in the palm within a month (without any crashes), I think it's time to move on.

Tough gloves, the material provides a lot of protection and holds up to abuse well. Initially the fit was a bit off, but they feel great after a few rides. However, keep some fabric glue handy. Some stitches on the cuff tab started to pop on the first ride, and the rubber logo started to peel on the second. The stitching actually holding the glove together seems solid though.

Definitely runs big, I have a 32" waist and I had to go down to 30" in these (perfect fit).

That being said, they're great shorts, functional, durable, and good looking. Length is great, not too long but still covers my knees. Really durable, I've taken a few good spills on rock and they still look like new. The fabric isn't too bulky, so they're my favorite pair of trail riding shorts as well. Zipper closures on the pockets are a nice touch.
