Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs large
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 148 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

Got these on super sale for less than $80. Very comfy, kind of a strange color but they are unique. Good pad and good grippers. I usually buy Italian brands and wear M but these are US size so I took S. Perfetto!!!

Maltodextrin is a common ingredient in these gels. The body digests it as a simple carbohydrate. Some research shows that maltodextrin supplements can help maintain anaerobic power during exercise. However, other studies show no effect. Maltodextrin has 4 carbohydrates per gram — the same amount as sucrose, or table sugar. Its glycemic index is higher than table sugar: 106-136. Honey and Maple Syrop are in the 50s in the glycemic index.

I just wanted to try it out. Unfortunately, like anything you take, you will never know how you would of done without it...

Was on a Tundra and it was painful for too long and so I switched to the Aliante because of the cradle design. I don't know but on the tundra, I become numb in front... No such thing is happening with the Aliante.
Use to race in the 80's on a San Marco saddle I think the Aliante is the closest to my race saddle.

I just got these and they have a really cool pin strip fabric that is not visible on the picture. I went for a 20 mile spin and found them very comfortable. I have to say they are a bit smaller than the Volta. I'm 5'9" 155lbs and M fit me very thigh. Straps are a little short but when riding I don't feel them. I should take a L but considering I'm on my heavy side I will keep them.

If you are taller than 5'9" get the L. Also helps I got them at 40% off.

5' 9" 155lbs and M is great even for my big caboose. A touch long on the legs but very comfortable. Got them 40% off regular so I would say at that price they are worth it. As for the leg grippers, not a problem because I shave my legs.

Can't wait to try them on a 3-4 hr ride.
