Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've owned the three different water filters and this one is my favorite. I like the ergonomics with how it pumps water and I like the fact that it screws to a nalgene bottle. Whatever model of water filter you get, try to avoid getting one that pumps up-and-down because it will eventually become a burden.

The most versatile bag i've used. I just cinch one side closed and feed the rope in the bag. When I'm ready to use the rope on the next trip out, it just feeds out just as easy. If I'm lead climbing, I will start out with the rope fed in the bag singled; if I'm top-roping I will feed the rope in the bag doubled. When top roping unzip the bag and it gives you a nice area to lay the rope on. Simple design but I haven't felt the need to change a thing. It just works, and i've used these bags for maybe ten years now. If I get an additional rope, it gets it's own new bag.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've tried a few different brand never to be completely content . . . until now. I did some research and this is the one I settled on. One of the things that sold me was the fact that you can flip it inside-out to clean it. I also like the fact that you can take off the hose while its full and it doesn't leak. I tried using the baffle and just found it to be a pain so I flipped the bladder inside-out and just took some scissors and cut the baffle strips off. That made it even easier to flip inside-out. So now after a ride, I flip it inside-out clean it with soap and water and hang it to dry ready to be used again. I never have to worry about not getting all the water out and having it get yucky or moldy inside.

Fit: True to size

I bought this boot because it felt the best in the store. I'm a food delivery driver and let just say I put this boot through its paces. I mean I had a difficult time finding a lightweight boot that could handle the abuse I dished out. This boot, while to me it looks like nothing special, it is durable and comfortable. It could be one of the best lightweight hiking boots on the market, especially for the money. My only negative is it has lost its waterproofing ability since I first bought them. But I like the boot so much I bought another identical pair.
