I enjoy long powder rides underneath the moonlight and getting fresh mountain air with friends! I moved from Washington State to Utah in 2007 so I could experience the best snow on earth. While I have been in Utah, I have completed BFA in Film at the University of Utah. I have been snowboarding for 17 years and I still cannot get enough!
Watch out!, it's the ChreeBrah machine, gonna climb the Rock without being seen. Have you ever seen a CheeBrah get down? Climbin that rock to the new wave sound! CheeBrah and you know we ain't playin, better listen up to what these CheeBrah's are sayin! Go Ninja! Go Ninja! Go! Go Ninja! Go Ninja! Go! Go Ninja! Go Ninja! Go! Go! Go! Go!!!
Snowboarding or Cycling to work, I use this backpack every day! For Splitboarding this backpack has a pole pocket on each side of the Camelbak bladder holder. It also has a shovel pocket and a handle holder you can cinch down. I really appreciate the insulated hydration sleeve, it is a must have for getting out there in the bitter cold. I use the zip up goggle holder inside of the bag as my security pocket for my keys, wallet, and cell phone. One feature that separates this bag from the others is the easy to buckle and heavy duty Duraflex buckles. Buckles can be an issue especially when your hands get cold, so I love how these buckles easily slide and lock together with minimal effort. This bag does not include a Hip belt with camera pocket! But is very comfortable for day to day use. I can fit everything I need plus a lunch in this thing, without feeling bulky or bogged down. Lastly a little hit: This bag works great with K2 Speed Link Poles! Smallest splitboarding pole on the market!!!
I was looking for a very warm scarf that I could give to the most beautiful woman in the world! The first requirement was, the scarf had to be made of Merino Wool. This is true because, I was not willing to compromise when it comes to the warm and lightweight functionality merino wool can provide. I also knew this material would help keep her warm without bunching up, or making her break a sweat. This Pendleton Knit Muffler met all of my expectations and ended up being the perfect gift! These scarfs come in brilliant colors and patterns. Lucky me, I was able to find one colorful and beautiful enough to match the way she makes me feel when I see her smile!!
It was finally time to retire the ragged but functional, DAKINE Poacher Backpack that got me through Jr. High, High School, and College. It was a great backpack but I needed something more functional for commuting on my bike. love this backpack because of all its pockets, the padded laptop sleeve, its high durability, and how it keeps the elements from ruining your gear. I especially like the zip up security pocket inside the second big pocket, which gives me peace of mind when I'm storing my keys.
I enjoy using these while taking easy cruises on my bike. The finger tips are very warm and block out the wind. The only downside is I pulled out some of the stitching in the palm, with the velcro in my jacket.
The new go pro is about more than just the camera. It is about the whole package! This is especially true when you consider the free software you get from Go Pro, which is the awesome and easy to use GoPro Studio 2.0 Edit Software. You will need a fast computer to run your high resolution/ high frames per second clips. The computer I am running this software on has an older GPU (a 9800 GT with one Gig of dedicated ram). I have noticed other video programs on my computer lag the raw GoPro footage, while the GoPro Studio 2.0 seamlessly plays the video without any lag. This is extremely valuable for low budget editors like me. Even if you are using programs like FCP, It would be a good idea to pull out the maximum FPS from Modes like the 720p 120 FPS in GoPro Studio 2.0, and transfer the lengthened footage to your other editing program. What this does is prevent you from losing valuable "between" clips you might want to use for later, and prevent you from losing it after your Vimeo upload is choppy and interlaced. I have also noticed a few upgrades from my original HD Hero. Number One! No more sifting through preview clips that always start with fisheye views of you and your friend's snotty faces. This is made possible because there is now a blinking red recording light on the front and the back of this new GoPro. So you don't have to point the camera at your face to see if the recording light is blinking. The second feature I noticed was the up-graded clip, which closes the water proof GoPro case. I really appreciated this because I have had the clip pop off while working with my old GoPro, in the middle of the Gallery at Snowbird aka "A bad place to drop anything". I am very happy with my new GoPro and I am testing and learning new things about it every day!
When you pull this bad boy out, a red gleam of light will shine across the Vally! So bright, the lemmings getting chair lifted from across the canyon will stair in awe as their legs shrivel in it sheer presence. Bottom line, this shovel is comfortable to use because of it long handle and it picks up a lot of snow because of it large blade. This shovel would even make the Great Gold Hat proud!
This is a great multipurpose shovel. If you are planning on using it for touring, make sure to give yourself time at home to learn how to properly adjust your shovel. It took me a few try's to get the hang of how to transform the shovel back and forth, but definitely worth the time! I found this shovel is great for digging pits and clearing snow.
When I really need my phone, it can be stressful as my battery percentage slowly disintegrates and I'm stuck out in the middle of nowhere. I have been living stress free after I got my JammyPack rechargeable battery. I am able to charge my Smartphone, Gopro, and Portable speaker while out on the road. The JammyPack is also very simple to use. All you have to do is charge it until all the blue lights are solid, then you will have 5 hours to charge your devices.
These are my new favorite Prisoner Of Winter gloves! I like the style and they feel comfortable enough to use while shoveling. These gloves are good for warm pipe and late spring days on the mountain.
These Smokin' 2's are just what I needed. So far I have had no problems using the in-line microphone to answer phone calls. This comes is handy while out commuting on the bike. Other than that I mostly just stream and listen to music on my smart phone. I would recommend these headphones because they have great sound and the ear piece is slightly curved forward, to sit more comfortably in your ear.
I have problems with knee pads putting unnecessary pressure on my knees, and making them uncomfortable while riding. This is especially true on my left knee which I had ACL surgery on in 2008. I am happy to say these Troy Lees don't give me any uncomfortable sensations while using them. I have tested them out on my downhill bike, also while out hiking and snowboarding. I like these pads because they slowly conform to your knee, making for more natural knee movement while still providing excellent knee protection. My mid-thigh size is 21 inches and I ordered the XL/XXL. If my thighs were any smaller I would go for the L/XL, but I am very happy with the XL/XXLs!
I purchased The Neff Kitty Neck Thing to say warm and add some style to my bike Taxi, when I'm pedaling SLC Party People! home from the bar at 1am. The Kitty keeps my face warm as the temperate drops without building up moisture behind the mask, despite of my heavy breathing!
I purchased this Jersey to keep cool underneath my chest protector during my summer downhill MT. biking adventures in Utah. I could not be more happier when it comes to the fit, functionality, and unrestricted movement of this Jersey.
Dear Spacecraft Collective,
Thanks for giving me a chance to take a little piece of Seattle wherever I go. This wallet has solid construction and good stitching. It holds my cards and ID fine so I'm not stressed, and is constructed thin so I does not look like you are carrying a brick in your pocket.
