Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I transitioned to these from Nike Free's since I like fore-foot strike running. The nike's started showing the miles really quickly towards the feet, but these Altra's don't show the wear at all. You can only tell I've run in them by the dirt.
Pro's: Large toe box helped my shin splints go away.
Stayed comfortable for half-marathon lengths.
Light-weight, so good on track for speed work too.

Con's: Ugly colors, can't really wear these with jeans.
The color from the tongue will rub off on your socks.

Overall: great running shoe, but I'm looking into their lone peaks model for trails.

Recently moved to a place where it rains more than I'd like, but having these pants makes it more doable. As other people have noticed, it is rather difficult to remove the pants over boots. I haven't walked through knee-high puddles, so I cannot comment on the waterproof zippers. I have worn these while riding my bike through a down-poor for 5 miles, and they held up well and dried quickly.

I bought these for a 2 day hike, and started out wearing them just to break them in. I have now made these my "go-to" shoes. They are very comfortable, and look pretty casual. My feet felt great after the 2 day hike, and they barely looked like they had been worn.

I've used this bag every work day since I've received it. It did not leak at all when I took it through rain. I can fit a change of clothes in it very easily. I also like how you can attach the shoulder strap, and carry it around town as a messenger bag.
The only downside I can think of is that it attaches to the bike through Velcro straps, which doesn't instill a lot of confidence, but they haven't come loose yet on my relatively smooth commute.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Granted, that this is my first hiking pack, but still this pack has done great. We've used as a day-pack in 90 degree weather, and my back hardly sweated at all. I've also used it to pack for a 4 day trip (packed lite), and it fit in the overhead with plenty of room to spare.
