Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 145 lbs
Size Purchased: 32

Bought these for Maui. Surfed & boarded a ton, good stretch in the fabric. They looked so good, people thought I knew what I was doing...until they seen me in the water. I was worried the white would look dingy from sitting in the wet sand, no problem whatsoever!

the LORE
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Few species share the same LORE as the bigfoot, unicorn, & JACKALOPE. I have a soft spot for them all, almost as soft as this super comfy hat. I had been skunked several consecutive fishing trips, oddly enough, I took the Jackalope out and was able to relate to another elusive creature, the fall Chinook of the Pacific Northwest. Regardless of whether the hat did it or not, I am pleased with how light, comfortable, and soft it is. It was a chilly morning (high 30's) and it kept my head nice and warm. I would NOT wear it on a warm day for sure. My kids love the jackalope too as he's, "all mixed up".

I don't live in swim trunks, but I wore these in the ocean, water park & a hot tub. These are hands down my favorite trunks this year. I got the Navy with Gold/Yellow stripes (think University of Michigan or University of Cal) Not only do they look good, but feel good, stretch good moving with you. I haven't seen any abrasion or rub, and I ran these down many a slides. Nor have they faded with repeated chlorine exposures and washes. I think out of all these things mentioned, the cut, movement & color combo of these shorts have completed the trifecta of the ultimate trunk! Too far fetched? Not in my book, I love them.

You won't lose your shades unless you take your glasses off from around your neck with these chums. They worked great until I had to remove my shirt, requiring me to remove the sunglasses with the chums, then I walked off :( super bummed! The rubber gripper on these alone are worth the $10 as it allowed my plastic arms to grip better on my head. Prior to using these, the glasses would not sit up on my head, they did after I put these on. One thing I noticed, while wearing a collared shirt and turning your head side to side, the rubber will grip your shirt and the glasses would get shoved to the side of your face. This is a negative, yet a compliment at the same time for how well these grip. I will be buying another pair.

These are a little baggy for my liking, why 5 stars? Perfect for boogie boarding, surfing, skimming, or any kind of goofing around in the ocean where you want total freedom to maneuver how you see fit. These also look good in a casual setting with a tee & flip flops. I wouldn't go anywhere too elegant in these :) even though I wouldn't go anywhere too elegant to begin with. The misses was not real thrilled with the ecstatic's, but my daughter, son and myself thought they were pretty cool. Other than a little baggy, I loved the patch work and colors on these shorts and the waist fit true to size!

Cork tape
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Nice feeling cork tape, seemed short in length, sticky was breaking off the back, although the finishing tape is still holding contrary to others saying they needed electrical tape. Best of all, the price!
