When buying cycling shorts/bibshorts I mainly look for a comfortable chamois and durable supportive fabric. These shorts have the Elastic Interface multi density chamois which I've found to provide excellent comfort on 7 to 10 hour rides.

The fabric is supportive in same league with other very high quality shorts and bibshorts. The fabric is this short is a little lighter than in my Oxygen bibshorts, so dries a little faster - better for warmer rides.

The 11" inseam provides good coverage and the hemmed leg (no silicone or elastic gripper) keeps the legs in place.

When purchased on sale at CC, this short provides excellent value.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

The material is a light channeled weave of coolmax fabric. It is stretchy and form fitting. It provides warmth in cool weather (down to 45 F) and doesn't overheat in warmer temps (up to 70 F). Perfect for rides in the 43 to 65 F range, especially if you ride hills where moisture management is important for comfort. The garment is cut long - so it won't leave a gap at your wrist, and stays tucked nicely into your gloves and bibs. It has a high neck which keeps warmth in on when the temps are cooler. Perfect for Santa Cruz mountain and coastal rides in Spring, Fall, most of Winter, and early Summer..
