Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I swapped out the crankset for a 170mm instead of the 175mm on my bike as with the 175mm cranks I was peddle striking quiet a bit in tecky trails. Not only did the 170mm help with the peddle strikes, but they also helped with my rear wheel traction when things get loose and steep.

Short of switching to an Carbon crankset this is a great aluminum crankset that offers a great cost to weight to durability ratio.

Ibis did a great job updating the Ripley. I wanted to try something a little different from the enduro sleds I have had over the past few years. Something that could handle big days in the saddle without crushing my soul. The Ripley certainly hasn't disappointed. It may not be able to blindly smash through the chunkiest of rock gardens, but it will handle way rowdier terrain than you would expect a 120mm travel bike.

I would have like to seen the bike specd with a little better brakeset. While the M6000 work remarkably well, they do fad a little bit on longer descents.

I did end up changing two things on this bike. First I swapped out the crankset for a 170mm instead of the 175mm. I do love the low bottom bracket on this bike and with the 175mm cranks I was peddle striking quiet a bit in tecky trails. Not only did the 170mm help with the peddle strikes, but they also helped with my rear wheel traction when things get loose and steep.

I also bumped the fork up to 140mm to enable to bike to handle some bigger terrain and put the bike into the all mountain category rather than the trail or xc.

I see a lot of people trying to compare this bike to Yeti SB 100, but after putting some time in on this bike I think it is way closer to the SB 130 or the PIvot Trail 429.

Overall I couldn't be happier with this bike, super fast, playful and capable. It also is extremely versatile depending on how you set the bike up. I would highly recommend this bike to most riders short of those people who are racing XC or Enduro.

I LOVE these Sorels! They are stylish winter boot that I can keep on all day and still walk through small snow (from my car to work/house) without having to change into winter boots. I love how these boots can be casual or dressed up. At first they fit small and take a few days to wear in as they adjust to your feet.

This is the perfect pullover for outdoor camping trips or indoor rainy days. The material is soft, and the quilted look prevents you from looking like you've been in your pjs all day. I got the XS but would have sized up the S for a little extra room.

This vest is perfect for days when I need a bit more warmth indoors but is easy to take off when it gets too warm. The heat in the building I work is always fluctuating. It is also warm enough to wear outside on chiller spring and fall days. I wish I had sized up to the S, as the XS is a bit snug-but is still wearable.

It can be hard to order bathing suit bottoms online, as many don't provide great coverage. The cut on these bottoms are perfect, they provide coverage and are comfortable. I sized up to a medium as my hips and thighs are an athletic build.

I received this bag as a gift and knew it would be perfect for travel. I am able to keep my laptop, phone, and chargers all organized and still have plenty of room for a wallet, book, snack, water bottle, and toiletries. The bag was so nice to travel with I ended up using it as my everyday work bag. I love when style meets convenience.

I've always loved my Giro riding shoes, but this time I wanted a pair that would allow more walking/hiking. These shoes fit tight in the toes but stretch a little after a few rides. I've only used these shoes a couple of times, but my Giro before these lasted for 3 seasons and riding in all different conditions- Moab, BC, Park City, Park riding etc.

This jersey is great for cooler, 60-70 degrees, days on the trail. The fabric is breathable and the cut is feminine, which makes great if you're going out after a ride. I wish I had sized up to the medium as the small is a bit snug- I am 5'5 and about 135lbs. (This review is from my daughter, as this was a gift for her)
