Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

The description states these are water resistant which is really different than waterproof. I should have known better when I chose to use these pants on a multi-week bike tour through Europe. They packed small and light which seemed to make them perfect for bike touring. They did a great job dealing with the wind. However, they were useless in the rain. For future trips I will bring pants that work for both wind and rain.

I bought these pants for a multi-week bike trip through Europe. They are super lightweight and pack small, which makes them great for bike touring. However, even in moderate rain they provided almost no protection. In hindsight, I should have purchased something that was waterproof. As it doesn't make a lot of sense to bring one pair of pants for wind and another for rain, these turned out to be a poor purchase choice for me.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I chose this stove over others because it had the combination of being small/lightweight and well constructed. While the cost was above some of the others, I didn't want to risk being out in the wild with a malfunctioning stove. It has met expectations on both fronts. It is solid but light and the valve adjustment provides excellent control of the flame. The small wind-blocks on the burner's surface have allowed me to start it in wind while still operating under low fuel pressure. I highly recommend this unit.
