Great all around pant
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 6'
Weight: 170 lbs
Size Purchased: 32x30

I was given these from Backcountry, but this review is independent of that. Wore these Prana Stretch Zion pants consistently over the course of a 2 week trip through Patagonia and they performed very well. I needed a 2nd pair of pants to alternate with my Arcteryx Lefroys, and these performed great. Compared to the Lefroys, the Stretch Zion Pants are a bit heavier fabric and also heavier in weight due to some features (such as the dual-access cargo pocket and the 2 rear pockets). I was impressed with their comfort over the trip and used for mostly trail-based hiking, in dry and light rain and they were great. Dried quickly as well after getting soaked through from several hours in the rain. No signs of wear yet. Fit true to size, although I would have preferred if they were a tad slimmer. For reference, I'm 6' and 170lbs and the 32x30 fit well (these also have a built in belt).

Would definitely recommend as a solid, all around hiking & scrambling pant for someone who isn't looking for the lightest/most minimal pant out there.

Used this for the first time last week; we were camped around 10,600' just below treeline. Held up to sustained 20+mph winds and rain, and everything inside the tent/vestibules stayed dry. Also, no condensation on the inside which was nice, but I did use the guy lines to make it extra taut.

Tent is very roomy on the inside, plenty of space for the wife, me, our 80lb dog and some gear.

I was looking for a fleece top to throw over a baselayer for cold weather activities. This piece is really mean more for lounging/casual wear, as the fit is very wide/boxy. Sizing down may help (I usually wear a large and this was like an XL) but I wasn't sure so I returned it. On the plus side, craftsmanship and quality seemed good.
