Old shoes were wearing out so I decided to get something stiffer and lighter. Many of my cycling buddies wear Sidi, and I saw that they are not the lightest choice. Spoke to a lot of people and did some research, changed my priorities to stiffer and more comfortable.

Good decision. These are much more comfortable than my old shoes, with plenty of room for my toes while keeping the mid-foot and heel stabilized for maximum power transfer. I am definitely stronger in these shoes.

The Sidi rotating buckles are not as easy to use as Boa's, especially while rolling, but they do the job. The bridge strap is wide and I can crank it down without discomfort.

My heel was a little sore after the second ride so I used the adjustment screws to loosen it a bit. That solved the problem- great feature. I have used the closing vent in the front bottom as well while riding in cooler weather but so far, can't say that I noticed much of a difference.

I compared these to a pair of the newer Shots but prefer the buckles on the side instead of on top.

For my slim physique, the fit is perfect- not a single spot where it sags or loosens no matter what my position on the bike. The fabric has a light feel on the skin and breathes well, but seems sturdy and survived a recent crash intact.

The zipper is coarser than I'm used to and slightly more difficult to operate. I had to get used to the locking pull and remember to unlock before trying to open the front for better ventilation. You can't just yank it down, LOL.

I like the Astana team design and the classic, longer but tight sleeves.

The bottom rear of the jersey does not bunch up like some others, which cuts off a bit from the pocket bottoms. I find it easy to access their full depth.
