Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The climbing gym I go to has this board and I've been using it fairly regularly with a large amount of success. You can get a good overall grip workout from it. The different edges allow you to work a wide range of open hand/crimp holds, with the jug at the top, a small slope/crimp, and a couple in between. The slopers are pretty rock solid and they are big enough so you can vary where you hold them to increase/decrease difficulty. The only drawback are the pinches. Since they form opposing holds it is easy to engage your shoulders so you kind of cheat out your forearms out of a true pinch grip but if you keep yourself focused you can pretty much negate that drawback.

Excited for the possibilities!
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This pack seems great. Two fairly large pouches, a large handle if the dog needs a lift, and the adjustable straps are padded so that should be nice for the dog. There are two straps that goes across the belly of the dog, one that goes across the chest and one that connects that chest strap to the first belly strap so the pack isn't going anywhere. The one downside I have found so far is that the padding on the straps on the belly make it a little difficult to adjust them. I haven't had much of a chance to put it to use but I will update when I do.

I bought this in size medium for my 45 lb dog, and it fits pretty well, slightly loose but he should grow into it very easily.

Accurate product description
4 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This works well for what it says it will do, its bright and has some nice reflective strips on it. Its extremely helpful for my brindle dog on our walks in the morning and at night when he would otherwise blend into the low light background. I could see a few more reflective patches being helpful but overall it gets the job done. I do wish it had a little more insulation to help keep the dog warm but it wasn't advertised as that so its just wishful thinking on my part. Finally I bought a size medium and it fits my 45 lb dog great and the adjustable straps will allow him to keep wearing it even if he grows more.

Good Slippers
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been wearing a pair of La Sportiva Pythons for a while and wanted a gym version of them, enter the Cobras. I ordered them in the same size as the Pythons and they fit great. They are tight and sensitive but still comfortable so I can easily wear them in the gym for an hour or more. The Cobras work great on vertical and overhang problems, the only issue is if there is some serious heel hooking needed these might not be the best shoes for that, but that seems to be the case for most slippers. I would very much recommend these to a friend.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got these pants for my father as a gift. They seemed like great pants and the material felt great, however when my dad tried them on they were way too long for him. They fit well in the waste but the size XL for my dad, at about 5'9", hung well below his heel. It would be nice if they had a slightly shorter pair or had an elastic band/adjustable band at the base to make up for the excess length.

Very Portable Kit
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This kit has what you need for basic first aid needs and can go pretty much anywhere with you. It should take care of most cuts, bruises, and sprains that an outdoor trip can throw at you. It is roughly the same size of a nalgene and has room to put a little more in it. I've added some extra standard ban-aids, some more alcohol swabs, and some more gauze which all fit easily.

Looks like a winner of a duffel bag
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've only used this bag a couple times but so far it has been great. All the stitching and material looks like it will hold up to almost anything I could throw at it and in a medium I can fit probably 2 weeks worth of casual every day clothes in it and still have space.

So far so good
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This jacket has treated me well so far. I bought it with the idea that I could us it in a layering system and for that purpose it works great. I can wear it by itself or with a flannel or hoodie underneath it. It also fits under my shell. I have yet to test it in below freezing temps but I think it combined with other layers will withstand most challenges. Another added bonus is how well it packs down, allowing it to easily go with you anywhere. The one drawback of this jacket, however, is that when I put the hood up the whole jacket seems to rise up with it, taking what was a well fitting jacket and making it slightly short. It isn't anything terrible but it is worth a mention. The hood is very toasty though, which is a plus.

I bought this in a M and am 5'9", and besides the hood detail it fits well.

So Far a Good Sock
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

I bought two pairs of these socks based on the below reviews and they have been great so far. These socks feel great and whats even better is that they stay up through the day. I got a size medium and wear around size 9 in street shoes and they fit great. I will return to update this after I have worn them more. The ones pictured are the chocolate color.

One of My Favorite Shirts
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I own two of these shirts and have had one for two years and the other for one and they are still going strong. They are built to last and very comfortable. They also keep their original size very well even through wash cycles. They are slightly on the pricey side for a t-shirt but they are worth it, and you can typically find them on sale a few times during the year. I wear a size medium and am 5'9" with a athletic build and it fits great.

Nice Rings
4 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are good rings to have for pull up related workouts. They are fairly inexpensive which is a plus and they are nicer than using a standard pull up bar. They can be attached pretty much anywhere, I've had them on a door frame pull up bar with the included rope and to eyebolts with the rope and carabiners. They are pretty much just jugs though, and you just vary how many fingers you can place per level.

It also seems like you could place them on a climbing wall as a hold since they have holes through their face.

Very Sensitive Shoe!
4 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these because some of my climbing friends had them and had nothing but praise for them. They told me how to size them was drop ~1.5 sizes from the Miura fit that you want, and that same process worked for me. They will definitely be tight at first but they stretch out. I love the fit now and love how they are unlined so you can really feel the rock. The heel and toe rubber are great also.

The only drawback I have is the fact that the seam between the rubber on the toe is splitting at what seems like too early into the shoes life (you can see where I tried to put some epoxy on it to slow the split in the picture). This most likely is a reaction to something I did since no other reviews mention it but I wanted to put it out there.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I have two pairs of these socks and I wear them a lot in my day to day life, at least once a week in boots and/or street shoes. I've worn them through the cold months and hot ones and my feet felt great in both with the socks. I've had both pairs for almost a year now and they still fit great. Over the year they have no loss of elastic capabilities and are not showing any signs of wear (even in common areas like the heel), and this includes them going through machine washing and drying. Overall they treat my feet great and I love wearing them.

Sizing: I wear 9ish in street shoes and wear medium in these socks.

Awesome Shorts
5 5

I bought one pair of these shorts after reading the reviews and they lived up to the hype and then exceeded them. I loved wearing them so much I got two more pairs of them. They work great for bouldering and extended climbing trips (both the climbing and relaxing).

Some of the reviews mention the back pocket ripping and a lot of the people I know who own the shorts also have had that problem, however the pair I have had for almost a year has shown no signs of weakness. The rest of the material is also very strong.

I wear a size medium in these shorts and they fit great. I typically wear waist size 32 in other pants/shorts and am 5'9". (The colors shown in the photo are black and corsica)

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This jacket has worked great for me through one west coast rain season, the water seems to bead right off. I use it while I walk around town and on my daily bike commute when it rains. I haven't really put it through any trying situations. I'm 5'9", ~160 lbs with a zero ape index and the medium fits great minus the arms. The arms are a little long but the velcro sleeve straps fix that problem. It fits and looks great over a shirt or flannel, and I still can fit it over my Patagonia nano puff.

Mostly Great Pants
4 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pants feel great, and seem like they will last a long time. I have two pairs that I have been wearing regularly to work for about the past two months, as well as some light hiking and bouldering in them. They are super comfortable and haven't really shown any sign of wear. The legs are a little baggy but they fit great over boots.

The one draw back to these pants is that the sizing is a little inconsistent. Both pairs I have are 32x32 but the length is about 1.5 inches different, as you can see in the picture, but nothing that a little rolling up can't fix. The waists are basically the same though.

Also the colors look great!

Great Lamp
5 5

Very useful lamp that allows for a wide range of light. I was able to have it bright enough to do some night bouldering, but dim enough to walk around a campground without feeling like I was x-raying everyone's tent. The red mode is great for just hanging out with your friends at night. I used it every night for about 2 weeks straight (1 to 2 hours), mostly on the dimmest setting, and it still isn't showing any signs of low battery life.

**Update: battery is still going strong, and using it almost daily on dog walks**
