Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have had a bit of a progression over time when it comes to boots. I started off with cheap boots that get the job done, then I went with a pair of Korkers with interchangeable soles. I got so fed up with the soles popping out and not feeling solid. It was worth getting a feel for boot tread vs felt tread though.

For the places I go, felt seems to be the best for me (I just end up spending a longer time cleaning them and making sure they are totally dry to make sure not to transmit stuff around). I decided to try a pair of these Simms freestone felt boots and ended up loving them. I didn't try on some of the more expensive pairs as I got these on sale, but I couldn't be happier. They are super comfortable and help me feel totally stable and comfortable in the water and out.

I went with a size larger than my normal shoe and it feels great not too sloshy and no toe jamming into the front either.

Fit: True to size

I have these for pretty much any shoe I wear. It has greatly reduced my knee and back aches after a full day on my feet.

The only drawback I have it that at the price, I wish they were more durable. They end up cracking on the plastic part and losing a touch of structure. I have gone through a few pair by the time I have worn out the shoe.

I am a huge fan of these sunglasses. I usually get headaches from wearing sunglasses to long, but I've had days where I have worn these 13+ hours only taking them off because it finally got dark.

In addition to the comfort, they do what I need and cut the glare and maintain great color without being too dark.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just installed these on my Cataract oars with the rope wrap. They fit just fine over the rope wrap and kept snug without twisting around. I haven't rowed much so I would consider myself somewhat novice, but these oar rights gave me a lot more confidence in the whitewater by keeping the blade angle verticle.
