Paul Baker's Bio

Trying to spend as much time as possible outside. Climbing is my new passion. Nothing can compare to the view you get from the side of a cliff or the rush you get pushing through a difficult crux.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I use this little bag all the time bouldering either at the gym or in my backyard. It carries more than enough chalk and is deep enough to completely fit my hands in it. The closure is a bit iffy, but as long as you're not sloppy with it, it's absolutely secure enough to keep chalk from spilling out. I have another chalk bag that rolls down completely 3-4x and is less secure than this one.

My friends have used this for a while and I've stolen some of theirs from time to time. Finally just bought my own rather than using the cheap stuff at the gym. I love this stuff. It's absolutely worth the extra time/money to order to online. And a bag of this lasts three times as long as a bag of cheaper chalk.

So I've bought quite a few of the 5-packs of the mini-jugs and really wish I'd seen this sooner. It comes with all of the holds you need to get a solid start setting your home wall. Mine is really over hanging so I like to have a few extra jugs on there and this gave me the perfect number to make my wall comfortable to climb. Also, I completely recommend the Metolious mini-jugs for any overhanging wall. They're super positive and feel great in your hand.

These are some great holds. I got them in addition to a few mini-jug packs and these are great to rest on, hang on, or swing on depending on your preferred method of getting around. They feel so nice in your hands and are generally really solid holds. I will probably be ordered a couple more of these soon. Definite must for any home wall.

These are solid and work great. My only suggestion would be to make sure you use some kind of all-purpose glue to hold them in. They have a tendency to pop out of the back of the softer spots in my home climbing wall.

So I love the quality of the holds and they have great texture. My only complaint is that this pack came with 5 or 6 holds that were so ridiculously small that I can't really use them effectively on my overhanging backyard wall. Still great holds though and it's a good pack to get you going.

Well, I haven't been hit by a car while using this, so I guess it does what I need it to do. Other than that it was easy to attach to my bike, is visible from a pretty good distance, and the batteries last quite a while in it. For $10, it was absolutely worth the price.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When I found this originally, I thought it was a really cool pillow and was convinced it would work perfectly. After using it several times I have to admit, it's just not as comfortable as I would have hoped. It's nice because you can inflate it however much you want and if any air leaks, I haven't noticed yet. It also compresses to fit almost anywhere. The only problem is that it's just a little too small for my head and I've noticed with the way it's rounded, my head tends to roll to one side or the other and off of it, making for a stiff neck in the morning if I sleep like that. This may be entirely my own experience, but my next pillow will probably have to be a little bigger.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this a while back as a gift for my wife and she loves it. She takes it everytime we go hiking or climbing and it's got more than enough room to carry all of her stuff. On top of that, it's incredibly durable and doesn't have a single cut or scratch on it after trekking through some dense underbrush. Absolutely worth the money.

Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 205 lbs
Size Purchased: XL

So I wanted to invest a little extra money and get something I'd have for a while and this was a great investment. After punting on Ka'au crater because of rain, I started carrying this with me everywhere and it's been absolutely worth the money. I bought one that I thought would be a little big on me so I could layer and it was a good call. Even with it being a little big though, I can adjust it enough that it fits almost perfectly. As far as sizing goes, I'm at a perfect size where most larges feel a little small and most extra larges feel a little big but this is adjustable enough that I feel like the extra large fits me perfectly with or without extra layers. It's light, it's breathable, it's comfortable, it fits great, it's durable. I come back from a torrential downpour and I'm completely dry. Absolutely love this jacket and would recommend it to anyone.

I got this for my road bike because I just needed something simple to mount on the handle bars to give me speed and distance and it's perfect for what I need. It has a few other features that I haven't fiddled around with, but actually installing it and using it took me about 5 minutes and once it was on and secure it worked flawlessly. I love it because it's small, simple, and works great.

This is my first road bike and I love it. I've been riding mountain bikes for ages so I thought it was time I finally try a road bike for transportation and it was a great decision. This bike is light but strong and it sure it fast too. I've been riding to and from work and around the island and I've never has an easier time adjusting to a bike than with this one.

Bought these as my first riding shoe and I love them. They're light, comfortable, and the 47 fits my size 12 feet perfectly. My first ride in them was about 10 miles and I forgot I had shoes on during the ride. I'm not sure how they compare to fancier shoes, but I definitely recommend these for beginners.
