Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
If you are looking for a great touring boot, the Driver X is it. The stiff nature of the boot can take a little time to get used to if you normally ride a mid or soft flex boot. However, they are great for those long days on the skin track and charging big lines. Burton added a hard plastic toe a couple seasons ago, which is nice for kicking in steps while boot packing. The seam construction here could be a bit burlier, though. My current pair has over 200 days on them and this seam is the ONLY thing I've had issue with. SpeedZone lacing is also nice for adjusting tighness on the fly (I tend to keep them lose for skinning). I wear a size 9.5, the same as my street shoes. In my opinion they run true to size. This is the only boot I'll tour in.
