These things are a life saver as the weather gets colder. They're packed with synthetic down to ensure your toes are always toasty. The drawstring cord cinches down tight to get a nice fit when you have to be more mobile. Makes a great gift as well!!!

These harnesses are great! Nice wide padding in the leg loops helps to distribute weight when free hanging/rappelling, making it great for climbing and canyoneering. It has adjustable buckles at the waist and leg loops so you can snug up the fit even more before tackling a difficult route. Reinforcred gear loops means your pro is always handy as well.

Any questions about this harness or other climbing gear? Feel free to contact me at pblythe@backcountry.com or at 801-204-4566 and I'll gladly get you set before your next adventure!

There are a lot of awesome qualities to this harness! The wide and contoured waist belt helps to distribute weight evenly when hanging on the rope and provides the right amount of support. Reinforced gear loops keeps draws and carabiners nice and handy. The only downside is the lack of adjustment on the leg loops. When they are a snug, they provide an awesome fit and comfort on the wall.

This was my first true shell purchase and I love it! The H2No and GoreTex treatment beads water and snow so well that you can brush it off without worrying if it seeps through. I'm a big fan of the removable hood as well, I personally like to go hoodless. Pit vents keep you cool after big runs and when you need the protection, tighten the waist right from your pockets! All that with a powderskirt on top means you are ready to get deep!

These replacements are a must have for your Flight Decks! The worst thing on a bluebird day is having to squint to see your lines, friends on the chairlift, or your beverage of choice at apres-ski. Save those peepers with these Dark Grey lenses. The dual ventilation helps to prevent fog, even if you get some slush on them while changing them out. Not to mention they look awesome with the flush housing. Sunny day must haves!

I was hesitant to make the jump to down as a trail guide due to the tendencies for wear and tear, but boy am I glad I did. Marmot treats the down filling to be water resistant in case things do get a little hairy on trail. A down bag that won't clump at the first sign of moisture?? Sign me up! Not to mention it weighs just 3lbs! This is a no brainer for anyone starting to camp in some cold weather.

Not all ski socks are created equal, and SmartWool stands at the top of the pile. These socks are key to keeping your feet and toes happy anytime you're on the slopes. Extra padding at the shin and foot keep everything cushy while staying nice and toasty. And they're extremely durable! I have no worries about my little pinky toe poking through the material because it simply doesn't rip!

These socks are amazing for snowsports! I get them with intention of having a thin but warm sock while breaking in my snowboard boots, but they are so much more than that! The Merino wool helps to wick away water and sweat while keeping my foot warm. Add in the extra padding at the shin to prevent shin-bang, elastic at the arch to keep a tight fit, and a tight knit to prevent slipping and you have an essential piece of winter gear. Get you some!

These socks are a cold weather must! They are thick wool socks to help wick moisture away while still keeping your toes nice and toasty. The extra padding on the footbed helps to provide extra cushion when you are hiking, as well as lounging around the house or winter camping!

These boots work wonders. The dual Focus Boa system allows for custom snug fits with the ease of turning a dial. Liner fit super tight and kept my feet warm. Definitely a boot made for big mountain/all mountain riding. Wore these for teaching at a resort as well as in my free time. Only problem I encountered was the lace for the liner snapped when I was tightening it one morning and its tough to replace/fix.

I'm a huge fan of the Oakley Flight Deck XM system! Replaceable lenses make keeping your eyes safe quick and convenient. I have the Fire Iridium, Orange, and Black lenses and that combination allows me to have clear sight no matter the type of sunlight on the slopes. They snap in quick, fit perfectly to my smaller face, and don't fog up.

Used them for about 160 days on the mountain and many more to come!
