I went to college in Ely, MN...The Boundary Waters. I bought this sleeping bag from a local outfitter the spring after my fist year in college, spring of '08. Since then, I've spent easily over 1,000 nights in it. I have paddled the BWCAW and hiked the Superior Hiking Trail instructing for Outward Bound. I have Kayaked the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior guiding with Living Adventure Inc in Bayfield, WI. I have spent many a sub-zero night dogsled guiding in the SNF and BWCAW with White Wilderness Sled Dog Adventures. This bag has stuck with me through it all; I have literally put it through the Wringer! I'm what they call a "human furnace", and even on the hottest, muggiest nights Ive been comfy...just open that puppy up or lay on top of it. I use it as the liner bag inside my -15 bag when the temperature plummets to -45, and sleep right through the night. It has visibly lost loft since I purchased it, yet for the past two Octobers my Marmot trestles 15 has been my best friend on month long canoe expeditions in the Quetico Provincial park, where the temps ranged from mid 80s to low teens. This past Quetico trip we had only 6 days of sunshine the entire month, the rest of the time it was 38 and pouring rain, or snowing on us. The last two days we had to break through 1 1/2 inches of ice on the lakes to get out of the Quetico. Let me pause here to mention that we slept in HAMMOCKS the entire month. I Cannot adequately express how impressed I have been and still am with this sleeping bag. I'm 6 foot and 170 lbs; the regular is plenty wide for me and there's room in the foot for some extra clothes to preheat 'em for the morning
Bottom line. Buy this bag; its the best one money can buy.
