Nosataru's Bio

My name is Peter Day... though online I go by Nosataru. As of 11/27, I'm currently 26 years old and live in Greenville, SC.

I've been snowboarding since I was 16, and I taught one year at Cataloochee in NC and one year at Park City in UT. AASI Level 1 certified (non-active membership). Best trick pulled was a corked 540, but honestly, I'm not much of a park rat. Def more of a freerider.

I also started mountainboarding last spring. Greenville, SC is home to the progressive mountainboard/longboard manufacturing company, Ground Industries (from whom I bought my board).

I also periodically mountainbike.

I love filming. I currently rock a GoPro (who doesn't?) and film almost 100% of the time I go out. I even keep it in my car to ward off angry drivers. ;) I use Pinnacle HD for my editor.

My gear is listed as follows:

Burton Analog Strategy Jacket
Oakley Alps Pants
K2 Bola boots (forget model)
Salomon 159 Era Snowboard
Salomon SLX7 Bindings
Smith Holt Audio Helmet

Backup Set: Burton T6 (first year release)
Burton Mission Bindings
Burton Ronin Jacket
Bonfire Jacket
686 Smarty Pants

Mountainboarding Gear
Ground Industries Conflict
Crossair Hubs
Mak Tires
Smith Holt Audio helmet
Fox Titan chest protector (rarely worn)

Nosataruwrote a question about on November 27, 2010

I bought a pair of these used, and the seller claimed the waterproof/breathability rating is 30k mm/30k g. I've searched everywhere and the only thing I can find showing a rating is 20k mm. Backcountry doesn't even have one listed. I even called Oakley and they had no info on them whatsoever (said they were discontinued).
Can anyone confirm otherwise? I'm sure I got the Alps pants as they matched the picture, but it's strange that the seller didn't even mention the Recco avalanche system. I can't even find the name "Alps" on them anywhere.
