Familiarity: I've used it several times

Pros:
light weight, packs small
Was comfortable in night time temps in the low 50's
Cons:
Does not feel like there's any insulation.
I had a 1/8 in dense foam pad between my tent floor and BA ALX pad.
Nighttime temps got into the high to mid 30's and the cold radiated up thru the mattress. I had to wear every piece of clothing I had packed and was on the edge of shivering for a two night backpacking trip. I would recommend the BA Q-Core Deluxe pad when backpacking in temps under 50 degrees.

Fit: True to size

I bought 2 pairs and have worn both pairs several times. I've found that the material is a little rough on my skin, so I wear a thin liner sock underneath. These socks are very tough! I wish they were a little bit longer. That's the only reason I did not give them 5 stars.

I've only had the Platypus Big Zip 2L for a short time, but so far I'm very happy I bought it. I always thought hydration bladders would make the water taste like plastic. But, I see more and more hikers using them so I decided to try it. The bag seals great and there is no plastic taste to the water.

I bought the footprint to go with my new Kelty Grand Mesa 2 tent. I've only used it once, but it protected my tent floor from getting wet. The tent was set up on grass and there was a lot of dew, but the tent stayed dry in side.

I really only wanted the Nikwak water proof spray, but it came bundled with the cleaning gel. I gave the cleaning gel a try and was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked! I applied the water proof spray while my boots were still damp. I've hiked about 6 times since, and my feet have been dry. I recommend both products.

I like the precip pants over other rain pants because they have two, zippered side pockets. It's hard to find good rain pants with pockets. These pants have kept me warm and dry on very wet hikes in the Seattle area! I've been soaked and miserable too many times when I wore regular hiking pants. The precip pants are worth every penny!
