Shorts are sooo hard for me with my athletic build. I’ve worn these to the gym and out running, but think they’ll work better for hiking for me this summer. Pros: the material is great. It’s very light and stretchy and seems like it will great when it starts to get hot. The cut is flattering. The medium fit true to size and left enough room for my butt and thighs. I like the thick waistband as well. And the zippered pocket is a great touch. Cons: when running these did ride up a bit which led to chaffing, but that basically happens with any active short for me unfortunately. For what it’s worth, these are single layer.

I am a big fan of the jogger trend, after all it makes wearing sweatpants in public socially acceptable... so I’ve tried a bunch of different styles over the years and Backcountry has nailed it with these. They are the perfect mid weight, soft cotton, fit true to size, have a great thick waistband and some fun details to set them apart. I’ve been living in these since I got them and definitely plan to take them on all my upcoming summer trips.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My husband bought these and he says: These are my first light weight skis and I am more than happy with them. Tested them in-bounds for a day and they held up very well on groomers, crud and chalky chutes. I have skied them in powder and they skied great. They ski corn perfectly. Simply put, these are ripping skis, lightweight or not.

My husband bought these and said: I bought these purely based on the reviews because people said that they are bomber and light. So far they certainly are. These are part of my very first light weight touring set up and dang is it nice. I tested them out on a full day at alta. At first I was hesitant to ski fast because they look like paper-clips holding your boots to the skis but they functioned verrrry well under high speeds and hard snow. Still, not gonna thrash these too much. Couple of things: I mounted them on B & D mount plates to get 20mm of adjustability out of them which basically makes them the same weight as the black diamond helio 200's... if those had been in stock might have just gone with those. They do not "click" into flat approach mode.. I have not had any issues with this but theoretically the heel piece could rotate mid hike. I have also had a hard time rotating them using my pole, but I have not used them that many times. All in all, very happy with these.

My husband got these and he says: I heard BD changed their skin glue and people dont like it as much. So far I am still very happy with these skins. I have a pair of these that are about 4 seasons old, bought new skis and got a new pair. I have only used them on 4 tours so far, so cannot speak to the glue break down but so far so good. While I am very happy with the skins function, I used a G3 skin cutter to shape these. 4* because BD is still making us cut our skins like its 1999.

Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 140 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

For years I’ve heard how awesome the stoic men’s boxer briefs are, so I wanted to try the women’s version. These are a nice, thick material, and feel high quality. They don’t slide down and have a comfortable waistband and seams aren’t itchy. They’ve been great for skiing this winter so far. Only complaint is that the bottom edge still rides up / rolls up on me a but - not a deal breaker in my opinion, just don’t love them as much as my husband loves his pair.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Picked these up as my new go to glove for cold resort days and backcountry skiing. They are super warm, very well made, have a nice tight cuff to fit under smaller jacket cuffs, and are small and compact enough to toss in my pack for a fresh, warm pair of gloves on the downhill when I’m touring. No complaints! If you run very cold, you might still feel it on very cold days, but haven’t had an issue riding in Utah since it’s pretty moderate most days. They are also steezy and come in some nice colorways, so you’ll get style points as a bonus. I’m typically a medium and went with a size 7.

I loved these bindings so much, I’m slowing transferring all of my resort skis over to this setup. I wanted to ditch my alpine boots this year and only use my tecnica zero g pros for touring and in bounds, and these bindings are a great, affordable option. My husband also uses with his mountain labs and loves these for resort skiing.

These rip! I think this is my new favorite all mountain ski. Since we are spoiled by utah conditions, I like 108s as my go to resort ski and these seem to be an awesome addition to my quiver. Super responsive and playful in tight spaces, stable and floaty in wide open fresh snow and you can still get an edge when you need to on groomed terrain.

I bought this set and love it. My husband also loves it so much that he would always try and take mine! Now with two sets we are all good. Very lightweight and most off all very packable. It is hard to drink hot drinks out of the cup without a handle, but I usually use a separate mug for coffee/tea.

Have only used this 2 nights but its very comfortable and warm. Packs up very small. I have always appreciated that Big Agnes stuff sacks are a little bigger than needed which makes packing up much easier. Really like the newer valve style, faster inflate and deflating. Cant speak to longevity, but as its a lightweight air mattress I don't expect it to be very durable and plan on being careful with it.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I wanted an ax for chopping firewood in my backyard. Did not do enough research prior to ordering this. This is a pretty small ax, really just longer than a hatchet, probably great for packing in. The craftsmanship is amazing, Unfortunately not long enough or heavy for what I have typically used to split wood. Returned, bought a longer heavier axe.

My husband bought these: He says: Bought these to primarily be a hiking shoe that will be good on rocky scrambles. Have done a few 7 mile hikes in them, did a 3 mile trail run in them. Very sturdy, grippy shoes. Low profile = low ankle support. Would be 5* but the foot-bed that comes in them is very flimsy/almost completely flat. I have pretty standard arches, put an old running shoe insert that I wasn't using in them and they feel MUCH better.

I loved the top so much that I had to order the bottom when it came back in stock in my size. This is my favorite new active suit - great for surfing and swimming in the ocean. Stays in place so you don’t have to constantly readjust your bottom. I found it to fit true to size - I am 5’3” ~135 lbs and ordered a medium. It’s so comfortable, doesn’t dig into my waist and the seamless design is a huge bonus.

I really like this oversized, chunky knit sweater. The neck is great and love the thick cut of the fabric. Don’t find it itchy at all to wear next to skin. It’s slightly cropped and looks super cute with high waist skinny jeans or black leggings. Only two complaints: runs big, I would recommend sizing down if in question, and the bell sleeves are a bit too wide for my preference. I find them getting in the way sometimes when eating or typing at work, and they are too large to fit in most of my jackets.

I wanted to pick up a new resort jacket this season and after browsing the entire assortment and trying out a few different options, this was the winner. Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant about the price, but I am so happy I decided to keep this jacket. It’s insulated on back and chest panels, very waterproof, stretchy, and keeps your bum warm on the lift with the steezy below the waist cut. I am usually a medium in jackets and after much debate decided to size up to a large on this one. I wanted more room for layering on cold days and since its a fitted cut I’m happy to have a little more room. I’m 5’3” and ~ 135 lbs. got lots of compliments this season rocking this jacket.

I’m giving these high ratings for being the softest, most awesome material for a pair of leggings. The hype is real. I’m a true medium in basically every yoga brand and I find the high waist on these to fall in a funny spot and dig in pretty tight, making them a bit uncomfortable for long periods of time. I normally LOVE high waist leggings and was so excited for these, so that’s the only reason I’m a little disappointed.
