Nic DeSeelhorst's Bio

Nic DeSeelhorst
I am an avid skier in the winter. You can try and find me at Solitude Mountain Resort in my many staches, If you see me you should follow me. In the summer I mainly mountain bike, climb, and hike.

My adventure partner is a four legged beauty by the name of Koa; he's a golden retriever blue healer mix and you'll fall in love with him at first sight. Get outside, experience nature, and breathe deeply.

Reach out if you're looking to get out. Spread love, and be happy.

I got this as a side carry bag (you know how the kids wear fanny packs) I decided to embrace that trend and am really happy with it. I can carry my note book, Patagonia bamboo "silverware", daily essentials, my reusable straw, handkerchief, so many different things! and it looks freaking awesome! I don't know why I didn't embrace this sooner.

I got these for my honeymoon to Iceland. They are really comfortable, and keep my feet dry. I wear a 9.5 in other shoes and the 9.5 fits perfectly. I am really happy with the out of box comfort, I don't feel like they need to be "broken in". I also plan on trail running in these after I have taken them to Iceland!

I love these boots so much I decided to get them in black too. The secret is to size down - I wear a street shoe size 9.5 and ordered the size 9 which are perfect.
Now to make them fit like a glove: get a pair of wool socks, soak them in warm water and put them on your feet. Then strap on your new boots as tight as you prefer and wear them for a few hours/until they are completely dry. This breaks them in perfectly, and they will be molded to your foot.

I got this towel for my trip to Iceland! i need a towel that I could travel with, packs small, and would assist me in my adventures to hot springs. this is the perfect towel. When you are done using it you can pack it into its little case and clip it to the outside of your pack so it doesn't get any of your other gear wet. It also drys super fast.

I got these for my wife , she needed a good boot that is also waterproof. I didn't expect to like these as much as I do. They look really good on her, and are super practical. She also says her feet are happy and comfortable, so I don't really see a downside.

This jacket keeps my wife dry, is super packable, incredibly light, and looks really good on her. She needed a jacket for our trip to Iceland in August, and Haglöfs had the perfect jacket to carry around if it isn't raining. She can stuff it in her pack and it won't take up too much space or add too much weight. She loves it. She is about 5'3 and she loves the small

This is hands down the best backpack I've ever owned! You can use all these features on a daily basis for peace of mind (locked zippers, lockable strap, hidden pockets, RFID safe pockets) not only is it the safest pack, but it is super comfortable to carry all day long.

If you are, or have a son or daughter, going to college, or you're going to be traveling abroad, you need this pack! backpacks these days will be carrying hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of equipment and books and you want to keep that protected. Along with the practicality, and amazing safety features, it is also a really stylish and attractive backpack.

All around a huge win in my book, and I have no need to use or buy a different brand.

I love briefs that breathe this well, hold their shape, and last. These briefs are amazing for trail running, ski touring, hiking, yoga, and the list goes on - even just for every day wear. They keep me dry, they don't retain smell, and they look good. All in all a great pair for your pair.

I have the non-hooded version of this baselayer and it really does keep me warm. Too warm if it isn't a cold, or stormy day but I generally run pretty warm through my core. I haven't had it long, but I am a little worried it will hold onto my stink because it is 100% poly. I'm just weary of longevity and how much I stink in polyester.

I have the 15L version of this pack and it is really great for quick tours with the pups where I just need basic gear and it isn't super cold or heavy weather. The 35L would be perfect for every other kind of touring I do. Keep a puffy layer, warmer gloves, goggles for the way down, some emergency stuff, and a few snacks is all you really need. The diagonal carry will accommodate for some really fat skis (at least 116 waist) The shoulder pads aren't the most comfortable to me but they are great for a quick before work dawn patrol. It would also be a great side country pack if you're accessing good snow from a resort!

I really love how light this layer is. It breathes and lets my heat come off my body when I'm touring up, and it is thin enough to not hold onto that moisture so that it freezes me on the way down. Merino is a wonder fabric - anti microbial, super warm, and really soft! They crushed it with this base layer!

I love having the front ventilation when I want it (dual zipper) one zipper closes the jacket like normal, the other zipper reveals a ventilation strip so you get cool air coming directly into the jacket while touring or on hot spring days (pit zips just don't cut it). I also really love the fit and look of the jacket. I am 6' 180 lbs and the large fits me great (enough room to layer under on cold days, but fits nice with just a T-shirt)
