4 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

Wore these for the first time 45 degrees with 20 mph constant blustery winds. Wind Chill temp was 38. Wore these with thin summer sock and feet weren't cold. Speed lacing tends to loosen up slightly over the course of the ride with the thin socks. These will be more comfortable with a thicker fall/winter sock. Looks great
11.5 US bought 44.5 fit is great.

Fit: True to size
Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 175 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

I'm 6ft 175lbs and the Large fits perfect. Looks great, love the larger teeth on the zipper. Length feels perfect. No issues at all. Slimmer fit then all of my other jerseys which is how it is designed. Area around bicep is very supple and stretchy. Love it. Can't wait to try it on the road.

Didn't want to take them off!

Size Purchased: Medium 7in

Sizing is perfect. Super comfortable. I dont mind the mesh liner so far (no issues on 4 mile walk). Minus 1 star for the unnecessarily long pockets but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Im 6 ft 175 lbs and got the 7 inch inseam. Length is good, wouldn't want to go any shorter.

I would buy another pair

This stand will not hold the bike steady with a FSA Gossamer crank. The Gossamer crank on my 2014 CAAD 10 and also on my wifes 2014 Carbon Synapse is tapered and is not hollow all the way through.
Since it is not hollow all the way, the stand does not seat all they way in. Because the crank is tapered, none of the adapters will work. It will hold your bike, but it will wobble.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I live in the Northeast which is where I ride mostly and do 1-2 trips a year to Utah and CO. For the previous 150 days I've been riding a NS SL 158. I'm 6ft 165# size 11 k2 UFO boots

I absolutely love my SL. I have total confidence to ride it absolutely anywhere. From east coast ice to 2feet bottomless days out west. So when the Snowtrooper is advertised as a better SL, I had to have it.

I just returned from 4 days in Vail. We have 8inches of new snow overnight, 1-3 the second day, and bluebird groomers day 3&4.

The board has noticeably more pop. Because of this, it feels more fun to jump around and on and actually feels "lighter" on your feet when riding. The board seems easier to spin due to reduced swing weight and is easier to ride switch than the SL. It feels more stable through late day chop and at speed. It is advertised to float better in powder which I tested thoroughly, but couldnt tell any significant difference between the trooper and the SL. I never had a problem with float on my SL.
Went during late afternoon/dusk to purposely find some icy, hard pack snow to test out my Snowtroopers edge hold. Went to Mountain Creek, NJ and was riding my Snowtrooper 159. Conditions weren't pure Ice, but very hard packed, skied off with a dusting of the manmade on top.

I hit every trail at least once and the Snowtrooper never washed out once, heel or toeside. It seems to be the same edge hold as my SL which was great.
The matte top sheet is a pretty cool addition.

In conclusion. I think this is a slightly better SL. More stability at speed and blows through late day chop with no problem. Edgehold is great.

Wanted to upgrade from my favorite boots. My k2 maysis we're about 3 years old and had over 100 days on them and I still love them. Saw these on sale, and figured I would go for it.

The are amazingly comfortable! I love them! Can't wait to try them next winter.

I had purchased 2014 burton ions, rode them once, and immediately went back to my maysis!

I agree with everything the previous reviewer has mentioned
