Nathaniel B.'s Bio

I'm from the St. Louis area, and try to get outside every chance I get. Love being creative with multi-sport outings and road trips. Weekend backpacking (occasional AT thru hiking), fly fishing (Ozark rainbows and browns), trailjogging, hardtails (I'm beautifully mediocre but love hitting the trails), and occasional river floats. Best mornings outside include pourover and French press camp coffee.

Fantastic jacket. Relatively lightweight for what it is. I love the armpit zippers so I can wear in warm weather or cold. I have take it on 10 day backpacking trips on the AT, fly fished in remote streams, and used as an everyday jacket for rainy weather. Not the most ultralight, but consider this your trusty steed for inclement weather. Much tougher than a UL. I could go Med or Large. At 5'11" the Med is perfect for looking professional. Probably go L if you want it for backpacking.

You cannot beat these boots for the price. It is beyond me how they get this quality of leather and construction at this price point. These will definitely take some time to be broken in. Thick, tough sole, so if you're looking for a minimal fashion boot, I'd go another route. Great boots though. Look at home in the woods and in professional settings. Worn them in fall and winter for a few years. No lining so if its bitter cold, wear thicker socks. I keep them well oiled, so no issues with waterproofing. I wear a size 12.5/13 tennis shoe. Bought an 11.5 boot, and it seems to fit well. Love them. Thank you, Danner.

This is my favorite sweatshirt that I own. The material is thick enough to be warm down to ~40F. Looks trail-worthy and professional enough that I wore it outdoors biking and then taught a literature class in it that evening. Material is stretchy and comfortable. Seems well-constructed. True to size, maybe slightly baggy, but athletic tapered. I can go Med or Large, and was happy with the L. A+
