Fractured Lenses within 3 months
1 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I did not purchase these through backcountry but rather a local retailer. Both lenses already have fracture lines in them after only 3 months. The fractures are not due to any accidental drop or damage. One lens was cracked when I returned to my car after work one day. The other cracked randomly while skiing. Very disappointed in the quality of the lense. The frames on the other hand seem to be solid.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this boot last season and I have used them both inbounds and lots of slackcountry in Colorado. They provide the stiffness neccessary to charge steep lines inbounds and enough motion for some uphill on short tours. I haven't used them on a lengthy tour yet, I would say they are a bit more stiff than other AT boots but do provide enough motion for a comfortable ascent. The liner is a huge upgrade from the Quest 110, get the 120 and thank me later. If you are 70% inbounds and 30% off piste this is a great boot for you!

I did find some discomfort where the rivets from the boot latch enters the boot shell putting pressure on the top outter part of my foot. I simply put some moleskin over those areas and a strip of duct tape; it solved the issue. I also put in some superfeet red footbeds since my foot is small to get a better fit.

I got these at a local retailer for $409... Just sayin!
