Familiarity: I've used it several times

There can only be one reason you’re reading this review: you don’t already own Pivots. You, my friend, are blowing it. You need to stop reading this, pick the color that matches your skis, and click “purchase”. Do it. Do it now. Okay good. Now that they’re on the way to you via free 2 day shipping, here is what you have to look forward to: you just purchased a binding that gives you the absolute best feel/feedback from your ski. You want to feel your planks as you shred, don’t you? Additionally, the pivoting heel-piece provides the most elastic range of travel you can get. What does this mean? The Pivots will keep your boot in the binding for longer before they release. So when you’re hucking a cliff in the middle of your line in Val d'Isère, you don’t have to worry about a premature release. Oh, and the full metal design means the Pivots you just bought will outlast your skis. Sure, they’re a bit pricey; but so is a fractured femur and a helicopter ride off the rocks at the bottom of the cliff. You made a good purchase. I’m proud of you.

Fit: Runs small

We’ve all been there: you get out of the house, hop on your trusty steed, start cruising out of the neighborhood, and think “holy hell, I’m way under-dressed for this ride.” You ride on, because you’re a bad ass. But the whole time your knees are freezing, your muscles never fully warm up, and all you can focus on is how you wish you had a warm pair of winter-ish bibs. Stop enduring that struggle. You don’t need to. You deserve better. You deserve these bibs.

If you’re reading this review, you’re thinking about buying the Castelli Perfetto Jersey. Why are you on the fence? Do you hate being warm? Do you hate looking good? Perhaps you don’t like being comfortable. I don’t get it. Stop thinking about it. Buy this jersey. It fits a bit small, just like all of Castelli’s stuff – because I guess the Italians are just the scrawniest people on earth. But get one size up, put it on, and bask in the glow of knowing you made the best decision you could have made.

There are two important things to consider when buying a helmet: does this helmet look good and will this helmet make me faster. The answer to both of those questions is YES. The first day I wore this helmet I noticed a number of other cyclists staring at me. One person even stared so long they crashed into an open manhole. It was amazing. The second day I wore this helmet I got QOM on Strava for the Little Cottonwood segment. Don’t try to fact check that; I rode it so fast Strava took it down because they didn’t believe it was a real time. I would say this helmet made me 45% faster on ascents and 55% faster on descents. So if you want to look good, and you also want to smoke your competition, I suggest you buy the Synthe. You won’t be sorry.
