Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs small

It is well built, accurate, and reliable. Clean interface and many features without becoming cluttered. Short learning curve to use. I like the lugs where the watch joins the band, makes for an better fit on smaller wrists. Only con is on the 'military' or black face watch, it is not easy to read in minimal light. Very easy to read in full blinding sunlight or at night with the backlight, but not in twilight... Overall I do like the watch but took off one star due to the display being hard to read in low light. I would still buy and recommend this watch though as it is very useful!

It is warm, breathable, and definitely cuts the wind. It does not absorb dampness in cold/humid weather. I like that you can fold up the band/brim for good temperature management. I have not worn it in the rain but it does bead water off well under the faucet and even when the water does wet through the top it does not so much make it to the inside of the beanie. The material is dense so it does muffle sounds a little bit but I don't believe it muffles sound dangerously so. Your ears may vary... It is thin and packs well. True sizing. It has become my go to beanie!

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size

This fits like a t-shirt and is equally comfortable and stretchy (almost like a second skin, but not at all confining). Definitely athletic/fit cut. That said, if you want to wear multiple layers under it, size up. I can get a thin fleece or waffle top under it (I bought it in the same size as my t-shirts). A sweater or thicker fleece is pushing it. Of course, it is a soft shell so you will likely be wearing it over just a base layer or you would be wearing something bulkier instead of this. It is great for high activity in cold weather and handles the wind well too. The side panels are thin and you may feel the coldness of the wind on the panelsbut it is not necessarily uncomfortable. I did not get to test this in wet weather but under the faucet it sheds water very well. The coat breathes well. This will be my "go to" while on the move during winter backpacking and I suspect it would be great while climbing/mountaineering. My down coat does fit over this well.

Very comfortable and packs well.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love my water bottle as I always have good water whether I'm at a training event, drinking rural 'dusty' water, or city chlorinated water. These filters do screen out a lot of whatever taste impurities might be in the water. They filter a great deal of water before needing replacement.

They are NOT anti microbial filters so keep that in mind.

I was initially concerned about the stretch panels but they are strong, not at all flimsy as I was worried they might be. They do definitely add to the comfort of the sleepsack. I believe I now prefer the stretch panels over the Velcro tabs of my now thread bare poly sleep sack.

Silk is the way to go if you are able. Light, excellent in all temps, great odor control (naturally), and durable. I will definitely buy this again if I should happen to wear this one out.
