Mitchell Pwrote a review of Deuter Airlite 22L Backpack on January 20, 2019
Wanted this as a dedicated daypack. First shot at using this was an icey winter day trip up to San Jacinto summit. Packed it to the brim and could hardly tell I had it on. The suspension system that keeps it off your back is ridged enough to keep the full pack weight off, yet close enough that you do not feel it hanging off you. Taking the pack off I had very minimal sweat spots. Deuter did an awesome job on the design.
One boo boo though. I accidentally stepped on the male-end waist buckle and it broke. So I just tied the ends together for the trip. I do not think I put all that much weight on it and it is a pretty skimpy buckle being pretty thin. I will not hit the rating for that since it was nott designed to be stepped on lol. Luckily it is an easy replacement and I will just upgrade it to a heavier plastic buckle to avoid my savagery.
Otherwise, super stoked to use this on future day trips.
