Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Bronson is an absolute beast. I immediately noticed how smooth it made bumpy descents. The bike ate up washboard and braking bumps like they weren't even there. This bike was designed for the down, so its no surprise that it feels a little sluggish on the up. That said, I did some big climbs on this bike and it seem to handle them well and not take to much out of me. I did find that the bike bops a little even with the rear shock locked out as you climb which means you are losing efficiency. But the reward at the top of a climb on this bike is well worth it as this bike is flat out FUN when it rolls down hill. The 27.5 wheels are playful and corner easily. The SRAM X01 drivetrain provides super fast smooth shifting.

For sizing: I'm 6'2", 33" inseam and was happy to be riding a XL.

This cooler is a beast! I took it down to the Utah Desert for a long weekend and only packed it with the ice from my freezer. Not high quality ice that stays frozen, nope, just freezer fridge ice that melts the second it touches water..... Well I pack my food in this cooler with freezer ice and spent a 3 day weekend in 95 degree desert heat and when I got home, there was still a ton of ice. Couldn't be more stoked! The only downfall with this cooler is its big and has thick walls, this is why it does such a good job insulating, but the cost is the weight and the size of the cooler.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Black Hole duffel has been a staple in Patagonia's luggage offerings for a long time and for good reasons, this duffel rocks. This bag is made from nice thick "rubberized" polyester that's still light so you' won't find yourself pulling out clothes at the airport ticket to get it under the weight limit. I have no worries about rain or snow getting my clothes wet when they are packed in this duffel.

Leki has been a leader in trekking and ski pole design for as long as I remember and the Micro Vario Cor-Tec TA Trekking Poles display just why they're the best! These poles are lightweight yet super durable. I'm a 200+ lb man and I stumbled while using these and the poles were able to withstand my weight and not snap. I really like the cork/latex grips and the large "ball: on the top of the handle provides a nice handle and the soft extended grip below the grips is nice when the slope steepens. Awesome poles!

The Triage is a very thought out tent. The pole design creates a free standing tent that is super spacious for two people. I think 3 people might be a little crammed in it. The tent has tons of pockets built into the mesh so you have plenty of areas to store your gear or sleeping essentials around you. The pole design is not only free standing but easily withstood sustained 50 MPH. 4/5 stars due to the high cost of this 3 season tent, but you do get a great quality tent for the price that you will be able to use for years.

I prefer these types of sleeping pads as I believe they have superior sleeping comfort and the Nemo Tensor did not let me down. Easy to blow up with the built in stuff sack and keeps you off the ground which keeps you warmer throughout the night. 3/5 stars because I've had a few friends and customers with this pad that have had issues with the pad remaining inflatuated throughout the night. I have not experienced this issue first hand but have heard about this issue enough to knock off a star or two.

Solid shoe
4 5

These shoes are durable and well made. I have no doubts that I will be able to log a bunch of trail miles in these. They grip rock fairly well, but I did find they slipped out a little on some granite, so I don't believe the rubber is equal to vibram or a rock climbing rubber soled shoes like many approach shoes. Minimalist design which means these shoes are very lightweight, yet they still offer great support. My heel does slip a little in the shoe, even though i wouldn't want to down size. 4/5 stars due to the slight heel slip and not super sticky rubber, but other than those two flails I find these shoes to work well and I would recommend to others.

Nice boat. Super stable, paddles a straight line with ease. Very easy to handle a. I was just touring around and enjoying the scenery, didn't fish out of the boat. But I was able to jump in and out of the boat at ease. It does sit low, so expect to get a little wet when using this boat.

This paddle has a great feel. The paddle easily splits apart and seamlessly reconnects and feels like a one-piece paddle. Lightweight for long days on the river. My one complaint is this paddle is on the shorter size for a 6'2" person. If it was available in a slightly longer size it would likely be 5 stars in my book.

Nice vest. Looks good, doesn't make me look like a good year mascot. I like the vest because of the zipper and the shoulder and waist adjustments so this vest fits perfectly every time and once adjusted all I had to do was zip it up. A couple pockets right where I wanted them. I am happy with this PFD.

This bad boy can hold a charge. I charged it up before a 6 day trip on a house boat on Lake Powell. We brought some solar panels to re-charge this battery, well we didn't need to use the panels because this battery didn't die. We were able to charge everyone's phone whenever needed with no problem. It's heavy so I wouldn't use it backpacking but if you have multiple electronics to charge on long trips off the grid, look no further than this battery.

Nice two person tent. Packed down small. Withstood about 4 hours of steady drizzle. Not a hard rain, but constant. Nothing inside my tent got wet and I noticed no water on my gear or inside the tent. My only complaint about this tent is I wasn't a big fan of the doors with the fly on. The tent didn't vent well or allow you to stare out the door much with the fly on . Not a huge thing, but keeps this tent from getting a 5 star rating.

These things are a summer essential. Your sodas and beer will never be warm again. These things are legit, I can leave an unopened cold one in this koozie and leave it in my car while I go for a run/bike/hike, and when I get back in a few hours, still cold! Perfect for summer concerts, river trips, and your backyard bbq. I also preferred the hydro flask cooler cup because it is thinner than other insulated koozies.

These give you a little extra "ompf" right at the top of your pedal stroke. I wasn't necessarily a believer at first but after a few rides I'm noticing a difference. I was also able to go from 30 teeth to 32 without noticing a difference in difficulty on climbs. More torque equals more efficiency equals more biking! Plus with so many color options, why wouldn't you? Remember looking good is half the battle!

This is the ultimate camping blanket! Its warm and easy to cuddle under with your loved ones. Nice for chilly around a fire on a very cold night, or adding warmth in the tent, or even using as a standalone "sleeping bag" during warm summer nights. This thing is so nice I thought about replacing my down comforter on my bed with one.

This thing is surprisingly bright and has a great dimmer that always you to set the mode from "sexy time" to "as bright as the sun." Well maybe its not that bright, but this lantern is very handy. Holds a charge well and you can charge your electronics off it. And in case, you forgot your GoalZero solar panel, this bad boy has a crank that always to re-charge in a pinch.

This ice ax is so light that you'll never have to ask yourself if you should bring that ax on your next ski tour because at half a pound you won't even notice it's strapped to your pack. I was able to use this ax to self arrest, climb snow and downclimb into a couloir. It seems to get great grab when you sink the pick or shaft into the snow. A great addition to your ski mountaineering kit!
