Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

We already had one Dakine snowboard roller bag and needed a second for ski trip to Japan. We didn't look at any other brands because the one bag we already own is so well made and it has lasted many years and many plane rides. The new bag is just the same. Between the 2 bags we fit 2 snowboards, 1 pair of snowboard boots and 3 pairs of skis/poles and ski boots and a bunch of random packable items. The bag is easy to roll and maneuver considering its length. The padding provided great protection and the zippers and straps are sturdy. A quality product for a great price.

My older Burton boots finally gave out and what a difference a new pair of boots makes! These boots are comfortable but yet stiff enough to give great control in all conditions for backcountry and resort riding. This is my first use of the Boa system and I am a big fan. The 2 separate lacing systems for the upper and lower parts of the boot help with even and secure tightening. The Boa system makes it easy to quickly tighten the boots with gloves on especially after touring on my splitboard.

Lightweight and neutral color were great for the kids. They used the roll up sleeves frequently since it was quite cool in the early mornings and evenings and warmed up late morning/afternoon. Washed up well - they were used almost everyday and got super dusty.

Perfect for our trip to Africa

I used the jacket every morning during our early morning game drives. It packs down to nothing and I always kept it in my bag during the day and evening. Great for layering and as a wind breaker. I have not used it in the rain yet. I thought the color might be a bit too shiny but it worked out great and gave it a bit of style without being over the top or too drab. It is an item that I will always bring along no matter what we are doing outside.

One of the few advertised 20 in rolling carry on pieces that is actually 20 inches when you measure it and fits the international airline requirements. The bag has much more space that it seems and easily fit the gear for our 2 week trip to Africa. The only downside is the single pull up handle makes it nearly impossible to lean a small backpack/hand bag on it while walking and rolling the case.

Lightweight and comfortable
5 5

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was given the Deuter Air Contact Lite 45 + 10 SL women's backpack from Backcountry.com, but this review is my personal opinion. I received the Graphite-Black color. The color is similar to the picture and the pink/maroon color accents break it up a bit. The materials are high quality with nice thick, but not too bulky padding on the straps. The pack is lightweight and Deuter's Vari Quick System makes it easy to get a proper fit. I am 5'6" and 120 lbs. Loaded up with 20 pounds, I found the pack comfortable and easy to carry particularly with the padded shoulder and hip straps. It is easy to stand upright with good posture rather than the usual hunched forward walking that ends up happening with most packs. I assume this is because of Deuter's " X-Frame" and the additional adjustments that can be made to get the weight of the pack off your shoulders and more evenly distributed. The aircontact system works well and my back did not get hot and sweaty. The hip belt pockets are actually of a decent size so you can fit your phone without a struggle and easily pop it out for photos. 5 minutes into one of the hikes one of my kids needed to take off a jacket and easily shoved it into the external pouch. The side pockets fit variable size water bottles and are secure for snacks and other things you want handy. Even when the pack is not full, it does not feel too large or bulky. I was able to fit everything for a week long trip to Belize using packing cubes and had plenty of room for travel size swim fins and mask and snorkel. There are a lot of other features that I have yet to use such as the hiking pole attachments, helmet holder and hydration pocket. As for cons, the adjustment webbing straps for the padded hip belt are really, really long. The extra webbing hung down to my knees once I had the waist belt tightened. It would also be great if it came with an integrated rain cover but that has to be purchased separately. The Deuter Air Contact Lite 45 + 10 SL is a HUGE improvement for me in comfort and function than any previous pack I have used. Since it is lightweight and comfortable, it will get much more use for even short hikes when you need only a few items.

from my son:
I am 12 years old and I think these gloves are great.
Pros: nice wristbands, durable, cool colors, stay on your hands well, keeps your hands dry, grips things well, hands stay warm
Cons: hard to make snowballs.
These are the best mittens I have ever had!

Versatile pants

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 120 lbs
Size Purchased: 2

I bought these pants specifically for a trip to Norway and Sweden. I only wanted to bring one pair of pants that I could use for all thing and these fit the bill. I used them for hiking during the day and depending on the temperature I could roll them up or down if needed. I liked the boot cut because it was easy to wear them with flats out to dinner or in the city and not feel like I was wearing hiking pants. They worked well in the rain and dried fast. I usually wear a size 4 and I had to exchange them for a size 2.

I own several of these camis and I honestly think I wear one everyday. I use them for layering for warmth in the winter and just under other tops for day to day wear. They are a perfect travel piece. Easy to hand wash and hang dry. I use them for everything from layering to sleeping and the merino wool makes them comfortable in all weather.

I have to start out by saying that I love all things Icebreaker and this is no exception. Comfy and functional but more fitted and flattering than a sports bra. It has places for pad inserts which hold tight. Great for traveling as easy to use hiking etc as well as out in the evening and easy to hand wash and hang dry.

I have been looking at a Canada Goose coat for over 2 years and finally spent the money. Yes, it is expensive but worth every penny when you walk outside in subzero temps and still feel warm! It is a bit like wearing your most comfortable and cozy sleeping bag with a little shape to it.

I love Dakine products and this one is well built like the others. Rolls easily, large capacity but still fits overhead without a problem. I haven't used the extended portion yet but nice to know I have the option. Great price and looks great. Would be nice to have a few more internal compartments to separate things but it wouldn't stop me from buying it.
