Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size
I just received these and although I haven't had much time with them I can share my first impressions. The quality of construction and the material is on an entirely different level. The breathable panels; the stitching - it's all excellent. Yes they are slightly transparent on the sides, but it's not noticeable to the point where it would be awkward and besides, who cares if the side of your leg is very slightly visible under the white panel? What really impresses me is the use of different material to address functionality on different panels. It's lighter and has maximum breathability in the areas that receive the least contact, more compression where the shorts need to stay put and super comfortable and smooth material around the crotch and chamois. The chamois by the way is excellent. I don't think I've ever felt better leg gripper material on any bib short. It's as though they've integrated the gripping compound within the fabric. No bulging rubber nubs or rubbery lines - just a very soft band that holds perfectly in place with light compression. This section is also made from yet another type of material and is very breathable. I have about 10 different brands of bib shorts and these are among my most favorite.
