Matthew Syring's Bio

Originally from Edmond, OK, I knew that I belonged in the mountains; so I moved to Durango, CO. I found a real passion for skiing, hiking, and backpacking working as a wilderness ranger. Now, I live in Salt Lake City, home of the best snow in the world.

This thing is really great. I'm a tall slim guy that always wears M, but this jacket has tightness on the chest and is a bit too tight on the waist. I'm afraid a L will be too big. I still love it and will wear it a lot.

First bib owner as well. These things are AWESOME! Thick, durable quality. Great for touring with the vents too. I did ride them on a bit hotter of a day, and it seemed like the outside did get a little bit damp while sitting in the snow. On cold days, they are great though. Perfect bagginess. Looks steezy when riding. Looks goofy when not, because of the bell bottom type look with the huge boot cut. I am so glad I purchased these. I would compare quality with FlyLow. Shred in style with these sick bibs.

I spotted these on backcountry.com months ago, and knew I had to have them. I have been saving up since, working for 60 hours a week to afford these slippers. Finally, after weeks of ramen, I was able to afford these. I must say, for $50, the comfort feels more like $1,500 slippers. It's like a sleeping bag is hugging my feet. This is the best way to relax my puppies after a long day with my ski boots on. I'm never taking these off of my feet, again. Peace.

I got the Mystery/Rust color in Medium. This looks cool and has a nice retro vibe to it! Columbia's new PNW line is killing it. I think it is a little baggy, but its so soft and like wearing a blanket

I have super narrow feet, and these come in a D. They fit ok if I wear really thick socks. I love the look of these, just wish they fit a bit better. Super comfy, and Very Breathable! I do recommend.

Paired with Yakima Fatcat 6, Yakima Timberline Towers, and Yakima Corebar on a 2010 Subaru Forester. They work, they lock, only thing is I wish that they were better quality in general. They kinda feel like dinky little things that'd come in a cereal box. I think this is the exact same lock design Yakima has used since the 80s.
Other than that, they work great. Definitely a necessity to go with your Yakima products.

Does what it's supposed to. Another great product by Yakima. I got the 50in for my 2010 Subaru Forester. Fits great, paired with the Timberline Towers. Why spend more for the Jetstream, Aerobar, or Whispbar, when this literally does the same thing? Worth it. Still an expensive piece of stainless steel though. Does what it's supposed to. Would recommend.

Paired this with the Yakima Timberline Towers and the Yakima CoreBars on my 2010 Subaru Forester. This thing looks awesome, works well, and is secure.
I have used it now for about 2 weeks and am loving it. Little wind noise, stays still on the highway, locks up, and looks better than any other rack on the market. Only thing is, I wish it had more metal parts and a more sturdy lock.

I bought this, thinking that it was a cool pullover. Little did I know, I pulled this out of the package and immediately sank to my knees and wept tears of pure joy, and by "pure joy" I mean "pure America". I tried this jacket on for the first time and immediately my max bench press increased by 100lbs.

Put these skis on my Dynastar 6th Sense Huge edition skis. Although these bindings are heavy, they are like tanks. These bindings have withstood a season of cliff hucks, moguls, touring, and crashes too. These bindings are super accurate and can go through pretty much anything you put them through. They kept the dimensions of my boot for most of the season before having to be readjusted, too. Great value.
