Fit: True to size

Size Purchased: Large

There is not much to say about the Ghost Whisperer that hasn't already been said in previous reviews. It's impressively light, warm and fabric is fragile. I'm 6'2", 190 lb., broad shoulders, wear a 40L suit jacket, 34" waist and ordered a large. Fits well with room to layer underneath when necessary. Breathes well, packs down small. Might want to wear something more substantial (i.e. Patagonia Grade VII Down Parka), for temps below 20º. I have used this jacket on a few trips in the Sierras and for chilly nights in the SF Bay Area. No real complaints other than the fragile nature of the outer shell. This is remedied by pairing with a hard shell jacket if you expect rough terrain or abrasion. Highly recommend. A+

Super soft, super comfy. Bought this on a whim and already know that it will be one of those hoodies I wear for 10+ years. It fits "true to size". Ordered a size Large (6'2", 185" lb, 40L suit size, slim fit) and it fits like a glove. Well worth the price and glad I bought it.

I already own a Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 for solo trips and bought the Fairview tent based on how happy I was with performance of the Big Agnes brand. Will be using this tent for car camping and maybe 4 person 1-2 night backpacking trips where everyone can carry a section of the tent.

Tested out the Fairview during two nights in Big Sur. Conditions were heavy rains and wind (17-20mph). Pitched tent along a coastal bluff during December with ground coverage from nearby bushes and trees. It rained heavily all night (with moderate winds) and had zero leaks with minimal condensation from the humidity. Both the rainfly and tent body fabric are durable and thick

Tent does not include a footprint but the tent floor fabric is so tough that I don't plan on buying one.

The tent isn't really designed with a traditional vestibule. It has an awning that provides a bit of overhead coverage but nothing substantial.

Favorite features include:

- The interior of the tent has about 10 mesh pockets and generous interior headroom (5'0 at dome peak, I think). Though rated a 4 person tent, I felt the square footage and space is comfortable for 3 adults.

- Two ceiling windows and roof feature to prop open for extra ventilation.

Overall, very satisfied with this tent!

This is my third purchase from Sierra Designs and they continue to impress with simple and elegant design. I already own a Patagonia Ultralight Down jacket but the athletic fit of that garment lead me to purchase this for casual use around town.

A few initial impressions.. The inner-liner is very soft to the touch. When you put it on, almost feels like wearing a super comfortable sweater. The loft and density of the dri-down reminds me of Patagonia's new Nano Air jacket (at a much lower price point). As previous reviewers mentioned, the hand pockets are massive. Hood fits very comfortably and lays flat when not in use. My favorite feature is the fabric stretch technology that they've added.

The only potential concern that I have is the breathability of the jacket - it heats up quite quickly but temperature can be easily regulated by unzipping the main zipper and pockets.

Although the majority of reviews mentioned that this product runs small, I found that the size large fits perfectly. I've got broad shoulders, slim, skinny build and typically wear a "40 long" suit jacket with 34 inch waist, 15" neck.

I'm sure this will be a great gear addition to hiking, camping and everything in between (with the exception of extended ultralight backpacking trips). Hope this helps!
