Ever since moving to Utah in 2008 I haven't had the desire to live anywhere else. Utah has it all! I moved here from Wisconsin and am currently living in Salt Lake City. With the mountains in my backyard I love to go mountain biking, running, hiking, and basically anything that's outdoors.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

my original band broke after about 3 years of heavy use so this one took its place. I got the violet crush color and love it, much more so than the original. It has an extra reinforcing strap and is much sleeker looking. Installation isn't too hard as long as you have the right tools. The reason behind the 4 star review is one of the screws that came with it was already stripped so I'll just have to get in touch with Suunto. Other than that this strap is great!

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

while the wren is a warm helmet and very comfortable I found it to be a bit too bulky for my liking, so I exchanged it for the griffon helmet which has a lower profile. It did fit pretty small though, so I'd recommend sizing up if you're in between sizes

I got these as a gift and here is her review on them: I wear a size 8.5 shoe. I bought these winter boots in size 8.5 and they fit great, even if I wear them with thick ski socks. The boot goes up a few inches past my ankle, they provide great ankle support.

I wore them around town for a couple of weeks to break them in. They were uncomfortable at first because they were so stiff and I learned not to tie the shoe laces too tight because the tongue of the boot would dig into the tops of my feet and it was uncomfortable. The stiffness goes away after a few wears and you can tie them tight if you want, after they are broken in. I recommend you break them in before you go out and adventure.

I have taken them fat biking on snow packed trails. I had to raise the saddle on my bike a little bit because the bottoms of the boots are thick. I wear them to commute to work every day via bike. They are perfect for riding through slush, snow, rain and cold conditions. My feet stay dry and warm. I stepped in a puddle that went past my ankle and my feet stayed dry and warm, granted I was wearing rain pants so that helped. I’ve taken these boots winter hiking 5 + miles and they were excellent. I slipped crampons over the bottoms, because the trail had icy sections, and they were comfortable to walk in and my feet stayed warm. I have taken these boots snow shoeing and they fit great under snow shoes. I even wear these boots around town because they are that comfy and it’s been snowing a lot where I live. They are a perfect all around boot and are worth the purchase.

I got the Mammut comfort high GTX boot in a size 8.5. It's true to size. I wore them on my bicycle commute a couple of times. They were comfy, easy to walk in, not stiff, and had excellent breathability. I decided to wear them hiking, even though I didn't break them like one should. I took them on a 4.5 mile hike 'Malans peak,' the trail was steep and there was packed snow on the last mile of the hike. The shoes have excellent tread and I didn't slip on the snowy section, I didn't need cramp ons to my surprise and my feet stayed warm. Going down the steep terrain wasn't bad, I jogged a little and I could feel the ankle support. It was great. The width of the shoe is perfect. I usually buy wide width shoes and have been hiking with sandals for many years because boots are uncomfortable. There wasn't any rubbing and I didn't end up with blisters, hallelujah! Great boot, looking forward to a great hiking season, worth the cost.

The skirt has a drawstring waste, you have to cinch it up to get it tight around the waste and it runs a bit big. I am 5’6, slender, got a size 4 but should have gotten a size 2. I love the pockets they are deep and the length of the skirt is perfect, 2 inches above the knee with my 33 inseam.
